Repaired one of my track shoes with sho goo. One of the pads came out and it worked for three runs thus far without deterioration Image

Painting another pair with black acrylic paint. Too much orange. The one on top has had the leatherette parts painted black. It going to get the speckled treatment the foam soles next.Image

Have a pair of Nike joggers to repair for the longest while. Just bought another pair.

The lip to the front started coming apart from the shoe (about an inch) on one side.

It might hurt your heart, but rip that sucker back as far as the glue is dry rotted. Sand off the old glue till you get clean material on both sides before gluing. Funny thing is that I notice the 1mm I sanded off of the heel material. Not so much when I am running, but when I am standing straight. The repair itself is holding well after about 8 3Km runs and in wet conditions.

Ah! thanks for the heads up.

Not bad. Small thing @ the 1mm difference. You should be running/jogging more than standing straight anyways

When shoes reach that condition they should be retired to walking only. The cushion is gone and you will start to get joint pains and impact damage.

Use the new paint up one for exercise and the ole fix up one for yard work, walking to buy bread and thing in the parlour.

When I brought them I was advised to use the trees by the shop to retain the shape and stop creases as it is real cow hide. Plus the trees make it easy to clean and polish

Got these a few weeks ago. Very comfortable walking shoes. Given my feet size I typically get problems getting my size but these fit well.
