Always rated him and felt barca stifled him with their over structured, tiki taka style. As much I love Suarez, I'm wondering how different they'll use him.... Maybe his price tag and fame will decide that

Report: Mandzukic to join Atletico Madrid for €22 million
Posted on Jul 08 via Devang Desai
Atletico Madrid are close to finalizing a €22 million transfer agreement for Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic.
German daily Bild reports the deal that will send the Croatian international to Spain is close to being finalized.
Mandzukic fell out of favor with Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola last season, seeing his playing time diminish under the former Barcelona boss.
Even so, he recorded 18 goals in 30 league appearances, which is an extremely impressive scoring rate. With Diego Costa joining Chelsea, Atletico Madrid desperately needs a hitman of Mandzukic's caliber.
"I had great time in Bayern, but let's be honest, the style of game forced by coach Josep Guardiola does not suit me," Mandzukic told Croatian daily Sportske Novosti in June.
QPR are reportedly preparing a shock move to sign Brazilian veteran Ronaldinho according to CalcioMercato.
Having secured an instant return to the Premier League Harry Redknapp is no doubt keen to strengthen his Loftus Road squad and whilst a move to sign 34 year old Atlético Mineiro star may well help sell shirts and make the west London side infinitely more marketable will such a deal help prevent a second relegation in three seasons?
QPR brought in big name additions in 2012/13, with the likes of Esteban Granero, Julio Cesar, Loic Remy and Stephane Mbia being brought in to help their cause, however Redknapp’s side still suffered relegation.
Ronaldinho left Europe for a return to his native Brazil 2010 and one has to wonder if the attacking midfielder still has what it takes to make an impact at the highest level.
Redknapp would do better to bring in players experienced at Premier League level but preferably not those in the latter stages of their careers.
Barcelona have been trying to find a replacement for Carles Puyol for years, and thought they found it in Frenchman Jeremy Mathieu, but Valencia are unwilling to lower their €20 million asking price, forcing the Blaugrana to look to Totttenham’s Jan Vertonghen and yearly transfer target, Mats Hummels.
According to Catalan-based sports daily, Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona still maintain interest in Mathieu and PSG’s Marquinhos, but are looking at having a ‘Plan B’ which includes Vertonghen and Hummels, two names who have been constantly been linked with Barcelona for the past two summers.
New Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique is adament that he needs two centre-backs to alternate starting alongside Gerard Pique and wants the deals wrapped up in the coming weeks, so that the new players may adapt to the squad and hit the ground running when the season begins.
Barcelona are willing to pay €20 million for the Belgian international Vertonghen and have been tracking the player since his emergence at Ajax, while Hummels, if he does leave Dortmund this summer, it looks to be to Old Trafford to join Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United.
Along with Vertonghen and Hummels, Barcelona are also said to be interested in Sevilla’s Federico Fazio and Basel’s Fabian Schar.

Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria is on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain according to a report out of Spain.
Manu Sainz, a reporter for Spanish daily AS, states Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez met with his PSG counterpart, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, on Friday to discuss the transfer of Di Maria.
Sainz reports a deal is all but done, with the price tag for the Argentine international rumored to be 60 million euros.
Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with Di Maria this summer, but the 26-year-old wants to play in Paris, according to Sainz.
Paris Saint-Germain paid a record fee for former Chelsea defender David Luiz this summer, acquiring the Brazilian for 62 million euros.
That deal was a world record transfer for a defender.
