2. i cant find those stats on WHO website (adnj, help)

Stats seem sketchy to me, like if any WHO researcher really going into politically unstable Libya to measure kids lol. But we do have a fat problem and I'm guessing genetics has a big role to play as well. I know of kids who eat everything under the sun and remain as skinny as a whip, even at my middle age I'm not too big on the healthy food thing and the closest thing I'm eating to a fruit is Libby's in the can and I'm not overweight. However many do try hard and still end up fat, moreso middle aged people and particularly women, some have normal eating habits and still blow up like a whale. So I'm guessing nutrition isn't the only factor here

The WHO uses multiple methods to track overweight and obesity prevalence worldwide.

Men tend to be about 40% more likely to be overweight/obese than women.

Though genetics plays a role in obesity, that role is far outweighed by economics, education and lifestyle.

Globally, there has been:
•an increased intake of energy-dense foods that are high in fat and sugars; and
•an increase in physical inactivity due to the increasingly sedentary nature of many forms of work, changing modes of transportation, and increasing urbanization.

Changes in dietary and physical activity patterns are often the result of environmental and societal changes associated with development and lack of supportive policies in sectors such as health, agriculture, transport, urban planning, environment, food processing, distribution, marketing, and education.

But all is not lost. Pfizer just developed a new weight-loss pill called danuglipron. And the fat-assed free-thinkers will be dropping Pfizer tabs like pats of butter with no worries about testing or side effects.

A new study in France found that chronic consumption of refined carbohydrates between meals was associated with worse cognitive performance in both men and women. This effect persisted even when energy intake and a number of other factors were controlled.

Chronic refined carbohydrate consumption measured by glycemic load and variation in cognitive performance in healthy people

Fax, it's easy to ignore, but that slow feeling you feel when you eat plenty rice or eat a sugary snack, that's brainfog

Im looking into making a lil meat smoker to make some beef jerky as a snack. Because ting like choo choos and even tortilla chips does have you feeling bloated and disgusting after, that feeling is in your gut as well as your brain.
