Is there any identifying mark that can look for to confirm the transmission type and diff ???

Decided to do a search and came up with the top picture. It's a R32 diff in a S15... I know it's a different car but the back housing of the diff is what caught my eye, it is almost identical to my own (bottom pic)... Is it possible to change out the R32 axle attachments that comes out the diff with the ones on the car so that the original axles can be reused? And can the same be done to the drive shaft attachment from the diff?

I thought so too until i went searching for a left side replacement axle, contacted a guy who goes by the name of Hassan on the forum and he seems to be quite well informed when it comes to a31 stuff... When i go to collect the axle tomorrow i will find out and post my findings...

BTW changed the plugs tonight and wow what a difference... This is what the old ones looked like... They were NGK R and i swapped them for the NGK G power...

3. The actual change of engine document from license office only states engine. (not sure if transmission is required to be documented in the change?)

If this was so it would be really shitty, License Office would just suck more ass in my book!
If you do find it on your certified copy then maybe you're special or your car is. Since your in to research so much, take a second and browse through your certified copy, i'm sure you've collected it from license office by now
