Bought them by Technet. 300 for the gallon and 80 for the Quart. A little more expensive but close to where I am located.

Also got the K & N filter for 85$. Nice Filter with a nut for easy removal.

Also Had the Hawk pads for Hilux for 790.

Using a different Oil Filter one from K & N as well. I have also changed the way I fill up diesel. I now top of every time the level is at 3/4 . I used to carry the level close to E before filling up!

So far the Oil is not getting as black as with previous oil changes.
Also I am not using any treatments and the idling seems to be smooth always which was not the case before(I had to be using a treatment every third fill up to maintain smooth idle)

Because I have changed 3 things at the same time I cannot say which change causing what effect. All I can say is the van is a constant joy to drive with the same performance level at all times

Blackness of oil is not an indicator of its quality.
Some engines make their oil turn black as soon as you start up, some remain clear/dark for a few hundred KM.

I know but I was wondering if the K & N oil Filter was not doing a better job of filtration
