"Understeer: You hit the guard booth with the front of the car.
Oversteer: the guard booth hit the rear of the car.
Horsepower: How fast you hit the guard booth.
Torque: How fast you try to reverse with the guard booth on yuh windshield."

Why this bringing back memories?

Anyway we have a lil more room on the north side now, so so more danger spots.

As they say, just come with whatever. At the rate men jumping in here , may have to do some qualifying on Saturday??

And still looking for somebody to put down some proper handbrake turns at the 360 - going and call Rallyman.

Most likely same course, for those who are still to get accustomed to driving through the cone configuration, maybe just tweaked a bit.

So the response from Rallyman - "Is this drifting, solodex or drags – let me know so we can choose and prepare the cars to suit."

He might just turn up with a car to run in each of these!

Rawle, when is your 'Briefing' ? While I cannot tell you when to have your meeting, I hope you don't plan to have it on the 10th, that is the same day as TTASA's monthly meeting, and I had hoped to go to that meeting to get some answers to a few questions I have.

Hopefully they would not clash, and allow some of us to go to both meetings.

Yours in Motor Sport

Clive.

On a lighter note, do you give Senior Citizens discounts on registration / entrance fees ?

This is actually very similar to PRO SOLO Autocross racing in the US.....

"Pro Solo events use the same sites and speed guidelines as Solo II, but in a somewhat different format. The format consists of two mirror-image courses with a drag-strip start, complete with a christmas tree. Each competitor receives 6 runs on each side over the course of two days. After that competition, the top 32 drivers from each of the 17 classes compete in a single-elimination tournament, with a handicapping system to equalize the cars from different classes. Unlike the amateur Solo I and Solo II events, Pro Solo events pay prize money. Competitors must be SCCA members and hold a Pro Solo license, although the latter requirement is waived for a competitors first event in a given season. Pro Solo is a travelling series, typically with 10 events plus the season finale."

In my opening post I indicated:"A briefing meeting will be held on Wednesday 17th August at a location to be advised."

And this...
"On a lighter note, do you give Senior Citizens discounts on registration / entrance fees ?"
Maybe WE can come up with some equation taking age and years involved in MotorSport and come up with some factor and have it as a new rule.

But my offer for those who paid for the AGP, still stands, for those who did not participate in the first D&W - free entry to this event even though the cost for this is $150.00- many took advantage at the first one.

Not a bad idea, this way nobody will see you and try to pull any stunts! But then, we just do not know what you can conjure up from the inside.

And look who are the ones wishing! Advantage. Let us all wish that we can get something going on a proper track soon and then we will be able to really have everyones dreams come true.

At least we are starting to get the competitive aspect flowing to a small 1/8 degree??

i hope u still compete, it would be absolutley a blast to see your car run, btw this course is in no way nearly as tight as even the widest solodex track configuration, except for the absolute last part, which slows the car down, and is essential for making sure nobody dives head first into the timing tent area.
