My flight was cancelled thou due to this.....Aeropostal is helping out the situation by connecting flights from caracas to magarita. All conviasa planes are grounded right now until further notice.

Just need to put a couple facts on the table

1, CAL's dash-8 fleet have the highest gear cycles in the world and have been operating in Trinidad since 1999, with only one incident in 2004.
2 Statistically speaking, flying is safer than driving..i think id go as far as saying, you quicker die driving than flying.
3. Pilots in the caribbean are some of the best in the world, men talking about st.vincent runway like that is anything...u need to check dominica's runway. Believe it or not dash-8s make it into Melville Hall (dominica) ICAO-TDPD (when Caribbean Star was operating, some of those pilots are currently flying for CAL)
4. South American Airlines in the past have been known to be slack with their maintenance.
5. If you work by the airport, at least once a week you'd see one 737 and a dash 8 in the hangar for some kind of servicing.
