Steering Vibration

Jack the front of the car up and put it on a ramp and put the car in Drive and see if the wheels are wobbling. I had a bent hub that caused the wheels to wobble quite noticeably.

warped rotors ... no doubt ... i had the same prob in a tucson ...just change the rotors and youll be fine

what if the problem occurs if you pass a rough patch/small bumpy area of the road at a particular speed, say 80km/hr? what could cause this? doubt rotors are the problem.

alot of times people over react when they hit a rough section in the road...
if not may be the wheels not truly round.. so try putting a rear wheel infront if u still feel vibration then may be warped rotor which is entirely plausible

rotating the tyres didnt help... and i changed the rotors.. that helped a lil.. but there is the occasional wobble as mentioned before. could the EPS cause any issues?

checked the ball joints and whatever else bushings and also wheel bearings

went through this same situation , bought and changed most suspension parts hoping the wobble would stop .. it did eventually, after I changed the rims.

so it was not the bearings, bushings or ball joints, not even the suspension?
could it also be tires? i dont get how the rims could have caused it? were your rims bent or something cherrypopper?

all four rims were bent, the two major things contribute to wobbling , bad rotor discs and rims . Rotor disc act up act up when u mash brakes and rims wobble when they reach a certain speed , You will know a rotor disc is bad because you will see lines etched onto the disc from the bake pad , this is because of the uneven surface the pad has to hold causing more wear on the elevated part of the disc thus causing the etched lines.

Most rims when they are bent , you will never visually notice ... how I ended up figuring out the rims were the culprit was by installing steelies on the car and then it drove like new.'

If you have access to some stock steelies make a swap on your car , drive it for a day and if the problem persists then you know its mechanical . This will save you money in the end instead of just changing parts randomly.
