probably they now got home and was about to take the child out - who was asleep in the back seat, parents get hold up by gun point....they take the car and drive off unaware of the kid in the back seat.?

heard on news...dunno how true....that a teacher from manzanilla high school left her car unattended engine running to speak to someone and the alleged thief or mere madman took this golden oppor. to get in the car and speed off with it...

had to be a teacher eh......if this story version is indeed true..you know the level of investigative journalism here is low...

CAR thieves who stole a Hyundai Sport Utility Vehicle at Sangre Grande on Saturday night got a surprise when they drove off-a two-year-old child was sleeping inside.
Eastern Division officers who responded to the incident recovered the vehicle with the toddler still asleep inside.
Around 9.30 p.m. on Saturday Nicha Lynch was asleep in her mother’s green Hyundai Tucson parked on Picton Road.
While Nicha slept inside the SUV, her mother Michelle Lynch, 37, was outside the vehicle talking to a friend. The engine of the SUV was left running.
As Lynch spoke with her friend, two thieves approached the vehicle and drove off.
Lynch, a teacher at the Manzanilla Government Primary School, contacted police by cellphone and an all points bulletin was sent throughout the country.
A party of Eastern Division officers led by ASP Lezama and coordinated by Inspector Phillip and PC Verson Jeanville recovered the vehicle at Damree Hill.
The vehicle was intact and abandoned with Nicha still inside.
She was medically examined and found to be unharmed.
Officers are now searching for the car thieves.

Seen numerous occasions of children left unattended momentarily, just enough time for something bad to happen. How many times have you seen people left their kids standing up while driving? We take so much for granted. S_it happens without any notice or warning.

All I can say is they are extremely lucky to have their child back unhurt. Hope there is a lesson learnt.

she should be charged for abandoning the child in a running vehicle

look at the scenario

child sleeping in the back

woman wants to lime

leaves child in car with ac and enging running

based on the report in the newspapers

she went in about 6pm and was coming out about 9pm and saw the person stealing the car.........................

bad parent

dont have kids u you cant handle the responsability

now if she took the child with her and locked her vehilce then police time would not have been wasted
