You can thank DirecTV and their bitching for that!

Don't get me wrong wing, I just enquiring, FLOW started off the same way, what was perceived to be a good deal then turned sour with increased rates and poor service. I am weighing options but it makes no sense for me to cancel FLOW then end up in a jam, i need 3 boxes, currently GD offering 1, I don't want anything on my roof, is there another area which their equipment can be placed? I love watching the EPL, is their service blacked out like FLOW's. A years advanced payment is not an option for some, after the promo period what will be the real rate? will it be 200+vat for the same channels or will number of channels increase?

How will you end up in a jam ..... you have choice now and you can make up your mind as to the best deal out there . Its not like you can cancel your service and never return. Right now GD has the best deal right now and you can take advantage cause at the end of the day its us who benefitting .
BTW Hustla,I not targetting you ... just having a discussion .

re the EPL, FLOW has no control over the airing of this - whom ever the EPL give the rights to air, they are the persons who will be showing the EPL. Same principle applies to GD.

According to WING - life is full of DOs and DONTs - it's either do you want GD's service or you don't. Right now they have the best package and that's why i took them.

if after my year of service they shittin me up with price, i will jus go back with FLOW - simple!

that's what we call to day "COMPETITION" it's about who can keep the customers - let's face, right now, FLOW can't!!!

i mean, let's face it, right now FLOW does not have the upper competitive hand.

dont get me wrong hustla, that's just my two cents on the matter.

Initially they underestimated the demand , but should be able to offer extra boxes by Oct.

i agree - they clearly didn't think the demand would have been so high.

they told me i will be able to get 1 extra box but now they saying their stocks can't permit them to give each household another box - that sucks!

on the bright side of things - i don't have to pay another cable bill till next year this time.

I got my install yesterday. Picture is clear and is working fine so far. $1100TT for the year is a bargain, I am getting Showtime and Starz, also they are not charging me any extra for Zee TV (more for me other half).

I got an email today telling me that the promo ends on the 14th, I guess they will have to do another promo after, but just not as good.

I feel with this offering we can be in for some good healthy competition

I paid $1100 in total for 12 months, they had the option of monthly of $100/month but there was a $500TT install charge.

The antenna is a small grid 18" x 18". The STB has 3 RCA out. 1 composite Video and 2 audio channels.

They have FOOD and HGTV, not that I watch them. They also got this Universal movies channel, its quite good.

I still getting emails from them, telling me that offer gonna finish this week. Only one STB for now, but can have a second in a couple of months, but I guess at that time the cost of the main package will be higher then $1100TT. I not too bothered about second STB, so works for me.

I heard ESPN been down on FLOW, I watching tennis on Green Dots. Had it for about nearly two weeks now, its stable, works and no complaints so far.

I had the GD installed last weekend. The channel lineup is adequate. The signal quality is good but not on par with DirecTv (which is still installed) The onscreen tv guide is similar to DT but not as user friendly. The remote SUCKS. Does anyone have the code that will work on my philips universal remote control.

All in all it's good value for money (about a third of the price of DT)

Yes Still only one box. I was heard they got swamped with people due to the FLOW issue and got a big take up. More delays on multiple boxes I guess.

Talking of FLOW, I question their stories. They must think we real stupid to believe that the box shut down because it thought it was end of life. Y2K bug hits Trinidad 9 years later ? c'mon give us some credit. Then they tell me that it was due to some upgrade, I did not know you could upgrade analogue boxes remotely. They were better off being upfront, apologising and dealing with it.

Also heard Green Dot are looking at adding some music channels.

Had it for over a month now and quite happy to recommend.
