This is why with or without Western help Ukraine will continue to fight Russia. 20240218_094213.jpg

The west had two freaking years to arm them properly instead of taking a year to deliver 30 tanks and still no F16s?
All elenski had to do was stop bombing the donbas. But no, he had to be doing the bidding of Victoria newland to provoke Russia... So stupid Ukrainians dying for a lost American causeDizzy28 wrote:This is smash heroes!!

Ukraine is fighting this war using Soviet doctrine i.e. throw unlimited men and armour forward. However have less of everything as compared to Russia.Dohplaydat wrote:Watching some videos of Avdiivka from X and telegram.
Holy firetruck, the amount of dead Russians and Ukrainians lost in this battle. Talking thousands if not tens of thousands on both sides.
UAF totally muddled this though, they should have given up weeks ago. Russian slaughtered so many Ukrainians in this last week as they were cut off.
Seems like this is what Valerii Zaluzhnyi was fired over, he reportedly wanted to order a retret on Avdiivka.
Almost feels like the west wanted Avdiivka to be a disaster to blame the GOP and Trump for blocking funding.
Again, the west playing with Ukrainian lives.

Following hostilities with Russia in 2014, Ukraine increased the size of its armed forces. The West provided training and arms to Ukraine since 2014. Almost ten years of arms shipment, not enough tanks and F16s.
Boris Johnson gave Zelensky 'basket'.

Arms sales and donations prior to the invasion were always small I guess to not piss Putin off. Also Ukraine's army at the time would have been solely Soviet era equipment not compatible with Western stocks.
The US's overall defense sales and donations to Ukraine pre Feb 2022 was something like US$2.4b which was Arms and Training combined. That is real small change to a nation of 45m ppl who were invaded by the world's 2nd superpower
Arms Sales b/t 2015 - 2020 by the US to Ukraine was a measly US$277M mostly Javelins.

Its the reality.
Ukraine only received serious arms after the actual invasion not before.

Still doesn't absolve the US and EU arming Ukraine as slow as molasses though.
The west is downplaying it now, but UAF are panicking and Russia is only getting stronger.
What's the likely result now?
Historically inaccurate as usualsMASH wrote:Russia doesn't want Ukraine.
It has its first objective.
The rest is demilitarization and de nazification.
But, putin had said in his oration that Ukraine state was a Soviet invention and is made up of lands carved out from other countries.
If other countries want to reclaim, its up to them.
And Odessa is russisn, even kiev.
Ukraine needs to negotiate, and stop being a useful idiot for the west.
