Trying to remove the plugs to drain by gear box oil, but for notting that thing moving....

Do not want to round it up but the 1/2" drive has a little play. Any one changed theirs them self? What did you used to remove the plugs?

carry it to mig weld a nut. I did mines last week.

I ordered the original drain nut from N&M, will let you know the price

Hey, what type of oil did you use?
75w90?
How many quarts did it take?

I think I used 5 quarts on the gear box. I bought amsoil MTG GL4
for the transfercase I used Castrol Dexon / Mercon (2 quarts)
for the front and back diff I used 3 quarts Mobil LS
Don't forget to clean out the magnet on the drain plugs

just an update on my "issue"

bought aftermarket locking hubs, they came with the drive clutch built in

noise is gone, changed all wheel bearings as well as the needle bearings behind the wheel hubs
all bushings / shocks & mounts changed as well

total cost of all parts - 6500
the manual locking hubs cost 225 usd, with overnight shipping to mia, 500tt to clear in the skybox

yes it would! don't do matte black with that wheel!! you WILL regret it!!

those wheels are so original IMHO and going matte black would only take that away

Rims and BFG without a lil mud hoss, how yuh wicked so, like yuh wah the transfer case and front diff oil turn to grease, lol


Btw good job on the fwh, that's a good upgrade, even tho the rugged ridge can't take extreme pressure, I'm sure they will suit ur needs and driving style perfectly!

BFG will be coming off soon and parking up or sold, they are really small

but i may be getting a deal on something else
so i'm looking to sell these

never touched asphalt yet
asking 6400 just to recover what i spent

Bess tires, excellent grip on wet & dry, good tread life. Worth every penny, would be a very good buy and $6400 is a good price.
