Jack Warner (Official Page)

APOLOGY

I wish to extend my sincerest apologies for anything, which may have been said on my platform last night, which would have affected the sensitivities of the people of Trinidad and Tobago in general and Chaguanas West in particular.

The language used specifically in one presentation did not represent the normal high standards with which you have come to identify from the Independent Liberal Party (ILP) Platform and certainly cannot be endorsed by the leadership of the ILP.

As much as one may understand the attempt by the speaker to use vernacular with a view of reaching the people, the sobriquets used to describe the racial enclaves were definitely unacceptable and not consistent with the philosophy of the ILP.

In this regard, I wish to extend my deepest apologies to the people of Chaguanas West in particular and Trinidad and Tobago, in general, who like me were offended by the language of one of my platform speakers last night.

With kindest regards

Jack Warner
Interim Political Leader
Independent Liberal Party

doesnt say much for the other party since UNC won the last general election.

Which party in T&T would you say knows of political strategy?

The PNM.

PNM lost last election simply because the former PM was on a one-man path and got too cocky. The UNC was just fortunate to make a clean sweep because the people thought they didnt have a choice.

Sounds familiar? That's where the UNC will be in 2015, not enough seat for a bicycle. The COP is a spineless shell of a party, so all those nice numbers that they picked up in 2010 will vanish.

The PNM has stood the test of time in this country and I'll give em credit for that.

ZR, do you know how many supporters of the PP have lost faith in the leadership and the way the country is run? Do you know how many 'die-hard' UNC voters I have personally heard saying they rather vote PNM next election? Forget Chag West, this is nationwide.

It might be rumshop ole talk, but the numbers are enough to wake up the UNC. They need to get a grip and come down from their high horses and put their ears to the ground. The people are discontent and the same people who put them in will vote them out.

Yes theirs has been a program where they have sought to recreate the opulence of Africa in T&T for their afro-based supporters, while for the indo-trinibagoians they have suppressed them to poverty and decadence reminiscent of India. No wonder the commanding heights of law, medicine, business and other academia are dominated by afro-trinibagoians, just as Dr. Williams planned it to be.

I cant understand why the PP gov't ambassador to the US can address a gathering and say that East Indians are the “most well-to-do and culturally strong and progressive ethnic group in the uniquely plural society of T&T” http://www.guardian.co.tt/news/2012-11- ... st-indians . He obviously has some rose coloured glasses view T&T which could have allowed for every race/ethnicity an equal place to strive for excellence

There are large numbers of honest hardworking people out there who have nothing to get directly from any Government administration and all they want is good governance. They willing to vote out sheit when they see it and it have nothing to do with board appointments, contracts and eat ah food.
