Miss Panday got 1.2 million over the years aswell. The newspaper only reported the total amount of money that went into the account for a number of years. It was never one lump sum as stated in the press. You are trying very hard to twist things around.
In Indian hindu culture it is the woman that controls the finances. The husband brings homes his earnings and gives to the wife who pays the bills and sees about the household. They also invest the money. The older Indian women from years gone by used to buy gold as investment to keep the value of they money. They would often pawn gold when things was hard. This practice is still done in some older families and in India who are the largest gold buyers in the world. I don't expect this modern society to understand old Indian ways of life far much for the media and the courts.

Care to explain?
The context was the COP's view of Panday in 2007.
But Panday's allegations is not the same as those highlighted. Panday had coconspirators locally and internationally. The international ones were tried, sentenced, served time, apologised to T&T and Al Rawi even recently got back some of the money they stole through civil action. The local ppl are using their money and political connections to stymie the trial (Section 34) and avoid extradition.

I still waiting for poster Habit 7 to explain why Mr Panday was freed from jail. He keeps sliding the question and goes off on other things. COP seeing Panday as a crook in 2007 was sufficiently proven despite you and your latchkeys attempts to challenge me.
I will not play your games. Whatever point you want to make about Panday is yours, I have already made mine.
What is sad is that after you get your usual monthly bans, you still can't restrain yourself but come under another user. You have to try to toot your own horn as being "abusive" to me. Pathetic.
You should take you 30 days as a rest, you need to come back better.

Former Trinidad PM sentenced to jail

Basdeo Panday sentenced to prison Former Trinidad and Tobago PM Basdeo Panday. Two years in jail with hard labour - that's the stiff sentence handed down by a judge in Trinidad to the leader of the opposition Basdeo Panday.
The judge found Mr Panday guilty of deliberately failing to declare as part of his assets when he was prime minister, a London bank account.
Mr Panday's lawyers had argued that he did not consider the account to be his but that of his wife and daughters.
Our reporter Tony Fraser, in court when the sentenced was passed, said Mr Panday appeared momentarily stunned by the verdict.
" (He) stood still in the dock, his face flushed red, turning only to shake the hand of his lawyer as he was led out of the court".

Go around in circles as you normally do, you still can't even reply to posters on here when challenged. You are really a sad case. Looks like you don't trust the court ruling over Mr Panday being freed but rather believe COP and hearsay rumours. You can't even back up your statements.Habit7 wrote:Kickstart wrote:I still waiting for poster Habit 7 to explain why Mr Panday was freed from jail. Hello Blaze d Chalice,

From my own experiences I concluded that majority of the PNM women were 'fiestier' and adventurous, whereas majority of the UNC ones were more laid back, just going with the flow etc. I think in terms of clinginess, (more) UNC women tend to cling more.
Last 2 PNM women I dealt with was from P'ville near the Plaza, and La Brea inside Point D'or.
Pvill one was arite but Pville neighbors like to macco.
La Brea one was a scene. A tall thick thing. I didn't see no tractor tyres when she bend. The legs and skin was flawless and she cudda stoop down and "bunx on it" without using any hands to stabilize.
One major problem was driving into Point D'or is them goons does watch you real hard and marking you. Neither of these girls had powder neck though so I don't know if that plays a part. And the location too. I never deal with a Maloney/Morvant/Beetham woman. Never had an opportunity.
The last memorable UNC woman I deal with was a few years back.
An older woman too with secondary school children.
Doing arti and throwing "jaal"? (the thing with the lota pot?)
Saree temple and thing. But as soon as "Baba" blow the Conch shell, Shanti Hari Om, Puja done and she reach home, you would swear she playlist is Kartel, Aidonia etc. Many times she would leave me in "Park" until people calling my phone to find out if everything alright. I don't come across many like those too often. I feel more (not all) UNC women more concerned with your wallet.
I have been reading his post and he has his own agenda. In Mr Panday affair poster Habit 7 did not post the entire detail of the case as below. At the same time there was a host of PNM members that also failed to declare their assets in spite of ample time given to them. At the that time the PNM only went after Mr Panday and turned a blind eye to their own members that failed to declare.De Dragon wrote:Habit7 wrote:De Dragon wrote:Dummy, is the COP a court of law, an investigative body, a news outlet? It seems like the basic functioning of the justice system has to be added to the many things that you have no clue about.

It seems like the basic functioning of the justice system has to be added to the many things that you have no clue about.
The cloud of corruption was yesterday lifted from the veteran politician when he was acquitted of charges of failing to declare the assets of a London-based bank account to the Integrity Commission for three consecutive years.
Panday said he felt vindicated after being discharged by Magistrate Marcia Murray who ruled yesterday that the Integrity Commission had failed to comply with the provisions of the Integrity in Public Life Act.
The issue of the London bank account had greatly coloured the public perception of Panday and his administration, and was the subject of many barbs on the political hustings from 2002.
