MonsterPower wrote:the way i see it is if i dont need party loud music then yea but if i am entertaining a corwd then the music wont be heard above the chatter ... 2 speakers wont be able to cover that kind of noise

besides does the pioneer have the ability to control the second zone seperately and simultaneously ?
multizone receivers can send a different signal to different zones and you can adjust volume and other settings separately

so you can be playing music outside on the deck in zone two and turn up the volume while simultaneously watching a movie in the home theater room in 5.1 and turn the volume down or up or change the channel or whatever

they are discrete

Been looking at getting a sound bar for my Samsung TV for a while now (don't want to run 5+ speakers in my bedroom). Saw Pricesmart had the Panasonic ones for about $1500 iirc, but still have to check the reviews on it.

Duane, mind telling me where you got it done locally (and cost) ? I find it so difficult to get good workmanship for fine items like those down here..

pioneer wrote:Dudes i know i asked something similar pages ago but i have a different scenario...

I want speakers at the back of my house to be playing stuff in 2.0 coming out my 5.1 receiver which is infront

I would like some kinda volume control at the back of the house

What can i use?
see if you had a receiver with multi zones then this woulda be a walk in the park

in fact with a 7.1 multi-zone receiver you would have been able to watch a movie in 5.1 in your TV room and at the same time listen to a CD or MP3s in stereo at the back of your house with no problems and volume controls etc via remote

of course Pioneer's lowest model with 2 zones is the VSX-1020-K which is nearly US$600 as opposed to your 520-K which is about 1/3 the price at US$190 - technically you coulda buy 3 of those and put them all over your house - use bluetooth to transfer the audio to the back

this is the link for the Niles Audio

Check multi-room audio at Crutchfield too
