Both are import only.
I used both and currently on the contis and hand down there is a reason why contis are OE brands for European cars.

Ok thanks. Dz102 it is then. Can't wait to import the others unfortunately.

Just called tyre clinic for 245/45/17 dz102 they told me $859 plus vat, but when i walked in before the sale they told me $800. When i told the person on the phone about my walk in price they immediately decided that the new price is $775. Anyone knows where i can get this tyre or a better type for this price or less, because they do not have a full set.

be careful when buying used tires, seeing an influx of re-grooved tires in tire shops and to the unsuspecting eye it looks good and may fall for it
when buying used tires look for the tire wear indicator that is present in the tire grooves, if its not there dont buy

Anyone could help a brother out?
LF: Maxxis Victra MA-Z1 or comparable street tyre in size 205/60r14.

Below is what I found to be available so far (minus the Chinese brands I'm unfamiliar with):

KAMUS
868-671-7308
Firestone Firehawk 900 - $600
195/60r14

CHIPPYS
868-672-5271
Dunlop sport??? - $500
Sales rep did not know the series.

Chaguanas Tyre Ltd
868-665-2000
Nexxen “Straight bead” - $500
(uninformed sales rep again)

Tyre Clinic
868-636-8973
Dunlop SP601 - $525
Sumitomo HTR200 - $550

Quick Service
868-628-4163
868-625-5682
GT Radial 12GT -‎ $535

The Tyre Centre
868-663-1356
Hankook Optimo - $595

Gibo Wheels
868-622-9585
Maxxis UA603‎ - $550

RaceTrac
868-642-1539
(Phone unanswered, but their website will at least show you what you will get)

D. Ramdath Tyre Service, #21 Huggins Street, Tacarigua.
640-5519.
(Phone not working, may have to check them in person)

MILEAGE MACK
868-628-0381
Kumho Solus KH17 - $633
Toyo Proxes Vimode - $750

My previous were the Vimodes, in fact it was immediately after my Victras (MAZ1) needed replacement. Steering response, Wet/Dry traction, hydroplaning and braking was somewhat comparable but steering response and stability on corners were noticeably better on the Victras; felt a bit more confident with them.
The Victras had a noticeably wider footprint and rim protection.
The major trade off of course is the threadwear on the MAZ1.

I was looking all over for that Hankook Tyre last year. Ended up getting the Sumitomo HTR Z3. Happy with them so far but I find the side walls a tad bit soft...running 35/33 psi to compensate.

You really can't be disappointed with them.

In the market for either 195 or 205/60/14. Prefer 205 but depends on price.

L & DG has Kumho KR21 195/60/14 for $525,
Kumho KH17 205/60/14 for $629
A Plus A606 195/60/14 for $349. All prices vi.

Can anyone recommend some places in Couva to check for decent foreign used tyres? Where is Jack's in Couva? Heading to Tyre Clinic so I might as well check out the others in the area.

500.00 for the pair...not a performance tire by any means but it would surely do the job required

I too need 205/60/14 and am leaning to the dunlops sp601 only because of name and the thread pattern.

I checked John's in Couva. They have no f.u. in my sizes ATM and the new ones are some Chinese brands I've never heard of before. I swear every time I go shopping for tires I come across some new and unheard of Chinese brands. Almost all the places I checked today has a new one called Lanvigator :?

Anyway, Tyre Clinic has Dunlop SP 601 and Sumitomo HTR 200 as previously posed by zorced. Leaning towards the Sumitomos but got a couple places left to check.

What do you guys think of the Sailun Atrezzo SH402? Getting 195/60/14 for $475. Can't find much reviews online though, and the ones I'm seeing are really mixed.

Have a set of these as 15's. They work good, quiet, good in wet weather, good grip in dry weather. If you drive sensibly you won't have any problems. Works real good for my daily.
