The just concluded Pakistan South Africa was a good game and it was not the typical 175-190 runs per side. Good Bowling is also appreciated.

i think charles showed his inexperience today
he only kept the strike lookin for 4 or 6 and didnt rotate the strike
and that then put the pressure on him as well as gayle

sigh i knew this wouldve happen, our batsmen are poor at picking gaps and rotating strike, far worse the know nothing about reading spin. bravo batted beautifully despite. samuels was good as well. pollard should be sent back home at this stage and i dont understand why dwayne smith wasnt played against these spinners. and finally russel bats way too low. hope out bowlers can pull this one back

this was sooooo painful too watch today
every pacer get licks yet sammy continued with pace
and brings gayle on when there is only 2 runs to win
no bravo, no pollard, no samuels, no gayle...
geeze

We have witnessed a performance by the WI today that historically accounts for our nervousness and general imbedded feelings of 'is just a matter of when they going to fail'.
In fairness to their performance, they initially appeared to be taking a few balls to play themselves in,but the rapid bowler changes just had them unsettled too far into the innings.
SL captain strategies paid off big time.
We now need to beat New Zealand convincingly come Monday I think.

Except for Shane Watson of Aus. players seem to be off their game.
Inconsistency of performances have us all wondering what the hell going on.
K.Pollard of WI seems to be in a different world and S.Narine is keepings his overs economical but just doesn't seem to be getting the bowl to turn.
The turning slower ball have all batsmen in trouble, the speedsters are the source of the runs.

The 2nd match was another let down for anyone hoping for keen competition.
Really don't understand what going on.
Based on last few days,it looks as if batting first is a no go.
Wonder if it have some kinda spell over there for team batting first.

WINDIES PREDICAMENT

Theoretically West Indies can be a part of a three-way tie even if they lose, but their poor net run-rate after the thrashing from Sri Lanka means it does them no good. In theory, West Indies too will have two avenues if they beat New Zealand: an England defeat later will give them a clear passage, while it will be a three-way tie with England and Sri Lanka should England win. Again, though, West Indies' net run-rate is likely to keep them third-best should the hosts lose.

So, for both the sides, the endeavour will be to win without worrying too much about the net run-rate and hope Sri Lanka keep up their good form later in the day. However, if only the second match is rained out, it will be bad news for New Zealand and good for West Indies. Neither of them can afford a whole washed-out day. If only the first game is washed out, New Zealand go out, and West Indies will again hope for a Sri Lanka win.
