they tell u that so there wouldn't be panic buying resulting in mask shortages for health workers

N95 masks do help as long as u take care when putting on and taking off- if u in a situation where social distancing isn't possible (e.g.- public transport where u squeeze up together like sardine) u need protection, trust me. ppl does be coughing right next to you but u can't walk away in a moving vehicle- u breathing in those droplets.

If u just walking on d street far from other ppl or driving in your own car sure u safe- not so much in ah maxi/taxi or other situation where u come into contact with others in your job.

besides d whole of Asia wearing masks, and they have prior experience with SARS
