Where are you getting the Bridgestone to buy?

I think this is heavily dependent on models as opposed to brands. The stock Bridgestone potenza re050 are not as good as the sumitomo htr z3 on my car right now.

Exactly. Don't be fooled by tread wear data. Low numbers does not always mean tons of grip and many of the better lines in these tyres we never get to even sniff them.

My choices were based on the models of the tyres on the list.

I agree that the z3 sumi > re050 brid
, but from the list the g3 brid is definitely > htr200 sumi...

Still would like to know where selling that Bridgestone and whether it's coming from Venezuela or Japan...

Any review of those sailun tyres? Is it the Atrezzo SH402 or Touring LS? Where'd you get them to buy?

Looking for 195/50/15 tyres in the $500-$600 price range and called some places. MM has none in thise size. Tyre Clinic has Sumitomo HTR 50Z for $525, L & DG has Kumho Ectsa XT KU37 for $595.
Anybody ever used either of these 2 and can give some advice or a review please? Seeing good stuff online about the Kumho but in bigger sizes (>17")

I have no idea where that is. lol. Thanks anyway. I think I'll go with either the Sumitomo HTR 50Z or the Kumho Ectsa XT KU37, trying to decide.
Getting Dunlop DZ101 and Roadstone for $525 and other brands like Hifly, Nexen and Triangle but hesitant to try them based on reviews in this thread.

Presently have the BF G-Grip, just they are priced out of my reach this time so from the list, excluding that one....which would you guys choose

You can get the Bridgestone Potenza G III for $600 each and maybe try to beg for a $590 each if you purchasing all four tires at once. You will get it at D. Ramdath Tyre Service, #21 Huggins Street, Tacarigua. Phone: 640-5519.

These are much better tires than Sailun, Roadstone and Trinangle for sure and even somewhat better than Dunlop and Falken.

How many of you all would buy foreign used if it's guaranteed to be less than 3 years old?

I had check a guy who recently brought back from Japan (so nothing from Brazil and South America)

LIKE NEW 14s, 15s AND 16s and the price decent

760-2113, I think is Imzan or Imran.

Personally I use 18s and it didn't have much left at all...a few 17s too.

Anyone can recommend where to get the digital tyre pressure gauge? Preferably the pistol grip type.

I'm constantly adjusting tyre pressure and like to keep it in check.

its not a pistol grip, but man this is one decent gauge

http://www.amazon.com/Joes-Racing-32307 ... sure+gauge

and as for f.used tires, i always advocate that, rather than buying those 5-600 crap we call tires locally
a half life bridgestone, firestone, etc will handle rougher treatment than a full life nexen, triangle etc

Where is this guy located? When times get rough, I am willing to buy foreign used tires if they are no more than 3 years old.

the potenza gIII are pretty decent
but you need to check the yeah they were made, i think its an old tire
i've seen some new michelin and they were made in 05

http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/treads/giii.aspx
Please Note: The GIII is now OBSOLETE and has been replaced by the Adrenalin RE001

Getting these for $650ea as well, but this turned me off from buying.

even though its obsolete that doesnt mean it was not a good tire
i saw a partner using these same gIII and the dom was pretty recent, like less than 3-4yrs

jus check the date before buying thats all
the tires in the back of my car are made in 07, and they went on in 2008 and they are still in excellent condition

Do you all even check the date on the sidewalls?

I bought some GIIIs for $575 each and which were manufactured 2 years before date of purchase, which I don't mind at all. These are excellent tires and so are the RE001s. They just re-designed it and re-named it. EVERYTHING in the Potenza series is excellent, some better than others. These tires are better than Dunlop, Kumho and Falken within this price range any day of the week.

You can compare the features on the Dunlop versus the Bridgestone like this for instance:

Last week I changed tyres on my car. Had sumitomo 205/60/13 which lasted almost 3yrs wit no complaints. Could've gone more but beads was a lil low an was feeling a slight hydroplane. So now I have Dunlop's in it now. Same design an pattern. Paid $500 for 1. Lil pricey for 13's. Working gd so far

Yeah, 13's massively overpriced. We have a Y11 AD wagon and when it was time foe new tyres I decided to just get some old 15" rims and proper tyres one time. 175/65/13 (i think) was $500 kumho
195/65/15 was $500 Firestone.

Just out of curiousity what kinda mileage you guys getting out of your tyres?

The yokohama a-spec that the car came with needed to be changed at 40k, put on the g-grips and they now require changing at 112k.

Thats almost twice the life and no complaints of any kind about it.....

seriously considering putting the extra and get them again
