thanks but besides those physical features(which people can obviously change) how can one tell the difference? Is the chassis # different? or does the c/copy say B13 beast?

the chassis number is different but slightly. C.Copy will have the chassis number to prove.
As far as L.O is concerned all they put on the C.Copy is the chassis number - vehicle type will be sedan- unless its a 2 door then they may put sport (think B14 lucino)

These are the different classifications for the B13- B13,HNB13,FNB13,EB13,HB13,FB13,SNB13
the chassis number are different due to the features that specific model may come with eg Sport package- manual / auto/ carb / fuel injected/ sunroof / non sun roof. etc etc

They ALL share the same chassis- therefore parts WILL work on one another and interchangeable - and they all share the same frame number "B13"

normal B13 chassis number will most likely start with the "FB13" the sport model ( beast) i unsure what is the chassis code for it... if you can get you hands on a sample of different chassis numbers the nissan FAST software will be able to tell.

beast comes with SR18/SR20 exhaust extractors manual 5 foward double fog bumpers and body kit rear wheel disc brakes and larger brakes upfront. it may have also came with the necessary strut braces and nismo exhaust again the nissan FAST software will tell.

long story short - get the nissan FAST software - put in the chassis number and it will show you everything if its not a beast model- you will see the original engine it came with and such. :!:

Wut he said. From what I gather the stock ga gearbox and the qg are interchangeable. Just need some time to check over and see if the ratios are different.

Yup gearboxes and automatic transmissions are interchangeable. You can also use the b14 ga engine bracket and mount on a qg to install in b13/b14. You'll have to open out one hole a little in the bracket though iirc
