As we on the topic, u fellas ever taste banana bread? My granny used to make a bess banana bread with over ripe bananas. Gonna see if i could inveigle her to make some for the christmas season

Anytime i see the over ripe bananas there I know is either banana bread or banana punch in order. Yum yum!! :mrgreen:

Bread pudding bess. As a child i went thru a period of mindfuck when i realise that it was made from stale bread and the outer crust of sandwich loaf slices ( that my moms used to cut off before making me sandwiches because i didn't like it) soaked in water or whaeva. Didn't eat it for years. Started enjoying it again by the time i left primary school.

The fritters was with bananas tho, not plantain.

Saw an interesting recipe for it on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives one time that mixed in some fruit cocktail and u serve it hot with maple syrup.
I haven't had bread pudding in a while tho :(

My grandma used to make sumn called 'Goolgoola', made with over-riped bananas,flour, sugar and spices. It was fried just like pholourie.
Tasted real bess.

Never heard of hot shoppe. Don't buy roti really anyways
But the ones @tru value USED to taste good like years back before they moved and were at their original spot in Trincity. Never ate it much as my mother makes banana bread :|

Ne ways there's cookies and a large tin of pringles that needs to be eaten by me right now :|

i use to walk a farkin mile everyday tuh buy bread puddin after school and had no clue.
Thought i alone LOVED bread pudding so much cuz everyone I know seems to be disgusted by the "sappy/moist" texture.
bread pudding from d bakery and ah vanilla supligen was d flick long time.
