Dennis McComie on CNC3 this morning said that the restrictions from 6:00am only affect the Hyatt and IFC.

There is supposed to be a free flow of traffic on Wrightson Road till 11:59 tonite when full restrictions go into effect.

Last minute changes became necessary because of a series of screw-ups and misinformation from various agencies such as the AATT, the Police and the Secretariat.

Example, I got my last Accreditation pass at exactly midnight last night after waiting 14 hours (Wed) and 7 hours (Tues).

Many people are still to collect same as well as vehicle and access passes.

The Silver Command for Sector 1 (Airport) in a meeting a 1:00am this morning informed me that they would operate 'business as usual' because of all of the infrastructural delays.

Changes will continue without much notice. e.g. there was never a plan to resume normal highway usage on the 18th until the traffic plan was reviewed to determine the most feasible measure.

All affected exit/access points along the routes that shall require crossings shall be manned by the police so it shouldn't be an issue.

Notorious Scullman, still waiting on vehicle access passes at the Central Police Station (POS). ASP J. James gave full assurances that these would have been available from 3pm yesterday, but as of 3pm today.........NOTHING!!

Restrictions cannot be enforced if the proper administrative access controls (Passes) are not available.

So they were planning to keep the CR Highway as a one-way for the entire three days, even if all the delegates had arrived by Friday and made their way safely to POS?

I hope they don't change the plan to open it on Saturday....that wud be unnecassary chaos.

Keep us posted norstar2k, it's appreciated.

I answered this before; the North Terminal is business as usual - access, parking, etc.

Thx Country_Bookie.

Just left Piarco, Police have started conducting checks along the Blvd. Static stations are in place and were manned earlier as a final check-off so no active checkpoints yet.

The CR Highway from Nestle to Piarco was 'normal' an hour ago. But strangely very little traffic.

CHAOS AT IT'S BEST!!

1. No 'Park & Ride' service for staffing for 4am and 5am for most companies were stranded.
2. Traffic everywhere.
3. Those on Golden Grove Rd facing south at Bhagwansingh have to turn east and u-turn at Maloney to join the line to the airport.

Highway locked off by Curepe. Sending traffic off the highway by curepe onto the EMR. Only vehicles seeing proceeding aong the highway are special reserved vehicles

Seek alternative routes. Curepe is at a standstill right now!!!!
