Dude, still on it, I want to upgrade my phone though, a coworker was not that lucky but I feel she did something wrong to lose it

nerve.............all I used was my uwi id, that was since 2011 i think

bessss. The amount of time I changed phones with this. The only issue I noted was on android is a speed drop but on iPhone it works awesome still. Thing is I've always used non BlackBerry devices. I had to call in and remove the BlackBerry I registered it with.

Uwi id still applies but in the new contracts you're required to come back after the year and renew. Hustla and I, also the year after us, are not required to do so and we have this until death of the plan from what they told me.

Speed drop on android. Interesting. Any reason for this? Any fix?

nah. Still experiencing it all now. I rarely would notice it though with my day to day app use. Only when i get bored and run the speed test I'd notice it.
Sometimes I do get 10mbit and the likes also eh, but not as often as I'd want.

looking to get the digicel mifi modem with the 15gb package plan for work each month as the price is decent. flow keeps telling me i have to take commercial nonsense, even called and say residential but when the guy came, he said he cant lol.

Anyhow, anyone have experience with this? Im hoping to get anywhere from 1-2 mbps downloads speed or i wont be getting that?

My cousin came with the usb dongle to it with a 5gb 4g plan and speed was 1.4 mbps download and like 3.4 upload but it was reading 3g inside my area, whereas outside my building would read 4g but i did not test speed. I can always open the window and run a usb extension cable if using that or just leave the mifi modem in front by door. Inside my building i have plexi and stuff so it kills the signal of service on anything most of the time.

Anyways, 4g mifi thingy, 1-2mbps possible? or higher is possible?

^ If you are going to be online for many hours per day and do lots of downloading. That 15G is going to get eaten up very fast. I have one that I used temporarily until I got hooked up with Flow. I would take out a 15gb plan on the 1st of the month and by the 25th of that same month I would need to get more data, and this is just from me being online for about 3 hours watching a few videos on youtube and downloading some music. Also. Download speed was very slow.

wont be downloading music or on youtube much....mostly email, forums and probably some youtube vids which are like 4-5 mins.

Will be using it from 8am to 12pm and 3pm to 5pm. Bcuz of work, might have a usage of 3-6 hours for the day max.

Im gonna try the 15gb plan.. I cant rely on flow anymore, its either commercial rate i pay or nothing and i choose nothing bcuz 900$ not making sense.

When I try to set up my 4g plan on my htc one on digicel I keep getting an error message saying that I can't activate it because my handset may not be 4g compatible. Can anyone help

i did a sim change because my sim was cut bad and suddenly my 3g is not working anymore on my iphone.

edge is working...digicel said its because the plan was originally for a blackberry (university plan)

i have been using this same plan on the iPhone for about a year i don't understand how they are so dumb telling me it cant work now. they upgraded the plan to 4g for since 4g launched. now they telling i need to take a new "smart plan" which equates paying more $. and no free calls to my other phone which i also have one the same plan.

anyone could give me a idea what to do.

i know some of you on the same plan using iphones to all now

No. If I was I would have easily taken the new plan.

But I'm on the first ever university plan which dey upgraded to 4g and on the website it states all pervious plans will be converted to the new plans

so did they provision the new SIM card to authenticate 3G data? Some reps in the stores usually just activate the calling/EDGE. You will have to call Digicel customer service number and check that for you. Have your PUK number ready. Without that you will just get calls and EDGE data.

Happens with both networks when you buy/swap a new SIM because some of those in-store reps either forgot to do it, or don't know. I have experienced in this exact thing with bmobile. Only E data even while on a 3G plan. The woman on the phone just activated the internet module and I got 3G/H+ after a reboot.

Goodluck. Hope that's the solution to the problem. It was quite frustrating to me.

Boi I keep calling and calling and dey saying how because it's a bb 4g plan that's y it not working and I keep saying how it was working for about a year now. Them telling me "I slip tru a crack" lol that's there words

I was thinking about it and I gonna try the sim in a blackberry and see if the 3G works because one of the 20 reps I spoke to said the system is not seeing the fone as a bb or something so that's why.

If it works then I'll switch back and see what happens if it continues. Maybe if it activates on the new sim in a bb it might continue to work. I Duno.

Gonna try because the package I got isn't worth losing comparing to the prices I seeing for there other plans

Call and find out if data is activated, cause your settings seem correct

Can't access the network if you don't have a plan. May have issues adding a plan on a phone that Digi does not sell.
