GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Point i was making is that in some instances u have a lighter V8 alternative to the big long heavy six :x

There is nothing like the torque from a v8 ,or the sound of a turbo spooling, both give me an adrenaline shot just knowing what coming next

check out utube v8 twin turbo ls1 r34 skyline' listen to the feathering of the throttle

To refill at service station between $29-$36 tt. arima to point fortin & back $42-$43 premium fuel. this over a year of driving vehicle. Once borrowed my good friend's S14 sr20det 322 hp at wheels Arima to Sando roundabout behind service station up by thaleel back to service station $100.00 super back to Arima. Now i left Arima with 1/4 tank fuel, after filling & return tank was on 1/4 $100.00 tt round trip. 4.0l V8, 90mph. $100 premium for 120km daily
RB25DET no speedo, but fastest in the lot and driven that way. $220 premium, over 400km

It was done for the fun those days and it kept bringing out the best.I remember guys used to slow down when there was highway traffic and wait for the other guy until it was clear to go again .Now these guys take the opportunity to bob and weave and bad drive people and boast afterward that I leave him out.I suppose thats how they need to polish their egos.I remember when it was fun to to go down the highway matching wits with another guy ,you get your arse cut and you had a good laugh .Guys nowadays take it personally and its like they want to kill you animosity for days i tell you ,thats not what it is about for me and i think thats why i dont have the stomach for fast driving anymore

It's a whole different breed out there now.

What Hp was your original car when you started messing around? 75Hp in an Escort? That generation learned to drive before they were able to go really fast, so by the time you were able to fly, you could "handle yuh stories"... These lads jump into Daddy's Subaru and stick the pedal to the floor to see what it will do... their first drivers push out at least 100Hp... (no wonder they tie their Nissans in knots around every other lamp-post)
You had a far better idea of how your car would behave/react, and far more practice in how to respond. These lads are now learning how to react to something that happens in less time than it takes them to react.

Would love to see someone do that project. :stalk:

Always wanted to see somebody chop and stretch a Morris Minor, and run an open V8 in it   It would require an entire chassis to be built, then just bolt body and engine in place (often wondered if a Datsun 720 chassis would work...)
(And I know just mentioning such sacrilege will trigger some :soapbox: )

Too coward to do it :(
Any photochop (sorry, I meant 'photoshop') fellows here who could build a picture of this?

I love how the minors look .They even got the wheels right
I can see myself doing something along those lines myself but I lean towards fast road cars not all out dragsters ,seeing that we dont have a proper track.I build something I want to flex its muscles every now and then ,safely. You spend so much time and money and a faulty strip causes you to frak it up not easy .But I'll like to be involved in a project like that,Maybe even a red choptop vauxhall with a stroked supercharged 350,I have a new sawzall we can start right away the powerplant will come

Why don't you consider a chopped corsair with a supercharger sticking out through the bonnet "Mad Max" style? (Use yuh sawzall on de bonnet.) Drop it low one time, on 23" crims, with a big spoiler on the trunk...
