Edge has to be capital only if you have a data package enabled.

run back jl cmder, run it in windows xp service pack 3 compatibility mode
phone screen shouldnt die during software installs/wipe
afaik they only die during physical damage/fall

still getting probs with the storm 2, calls not failing but breaking up and cant hear what the person is saying at all, happens about 15 seconds into the call
is the an upadte to the 9550 os out ?

have you tried your sim card in another phone?
sounds to me like the problem is with the phones transmitter itself. Updating the OS wouldn't fix the problem.

all you need to do is re-install your OS

takes about a half hour

it long so copying and pastin kinda tedious...

well seems to be an issue with the gps, once it on the calls getting cut after 15-20 seconds
problem gone without it on

will monitor it for while and see
