The grand vitara is a flawless suv IMO. 2013 can't come fast enough for the new lineup. 0X

Final 3G face-lift coming in 2Q 2012. 4G due 3Q 2013. Two versions of the SGV shall be available, a crossover (soft-roader) version based on the Kizashi to compete with the likes of CUVs such as the RAV4, Tucson/Sportage, CRV, etc. And the familiar 4x4 uni-body (off-roader) design. Hopefully we get both.

Agreed! The 140hp 2.0L engine sucks. The sweet spots for the SGV performance were discontinued 2.7 V6 (185hp) and 3.2 V6 (224hp) engines. All that's left beyond the weak 2.0L is the 2.4L @ 166hp.

I think it's available for sale locally as it's being advertised on their local website. No price is given though.

yeah but the $275k A1 would get raped by the new Jetta 7-speed DSG for 240k. The A1 has 122ps vs Jetta @ 160ps  plus you get 4-doors and a real trunk!! boo for A1.

Well Audi has to keep a certain price to keep a certain level of people buying their showroom vehicles.

I love Audis, but as far as purchasing one and maintaining one. It's too much

They are targeting the supermini crowd that there is in Europe. But it is a very small crowd in Trinidad, Mini Coopers might be bought but Sterling Service said that they are not bringing the Fiat 500 because it would be at that high price too, but in the US they are selling though.

If they Fiat were to come in Trinidad, I foresee only women buying them because they're "tiny and cute"

Funny you say that because for me, most times than not, men drive Chevy Spark, Suzuki Celerio, Nissan March, etc.

You obviously have never watched the drivers of these Grand Vitaras, Tucsons and Sportages...most of them are women...the soccer mom type. You also get some women driving the "blinged" out Vigos, Navaras and Tritons, but these women tend to be on the somewhat less aesthetically pleasing side.

According to Schuey's interview on Top Gear, doesn't he drive a 500 Abarth as his "daily driver"?

Tiny maybe...but 500 Abarth SS = 170+ hp in a small car = plenty fun

I don't know, but my advice to you is to never buy a vehicle with only 10% (minimum) downpayment. Get yourself at least 20 - 30% first AT LEAST! The following 5 years will be much easier on you. I've heard too many stories of friends having just 20k in the bank that can't enjoy life anymore because all of their money at the end of the month go towards their bills and a vehicle. Anytime you ask them to go out and lime, they can't spend much because they have loans to pay

^^^^ very true. Some banks even "reward" you with lower interest rates if you have a deposit larger than 10%. (16% in one bank). Get loans nearer Christmas too. Banks have lower interest rates from Oct to Dec. They still taking your money but they might as well take less if you can wait till then to get your car.

http://www.diamondmotors.co.tt/index.ph ... calculator

^^^ try that link for an *estimate* of what monthly payments are likely to be based on the 10% downpayment.

Here's another link to try:
