^^If you are talking about the red bellied Macaw please don’t. Besides them NOT being suitable for being held as pets/captives at home due to their diet and struggling at the moment to re-introduce successfully back to their natural habitat due to Moriche Palm removal and theft unfortunately.
Buying them only resurrects the problem of people removing them from the wild instead of buying from a ‘reputable breeder’ to sell on for what is in real terms small money. Are you sure you don’t want a kitten instead?

^ correct on the red bellied macaw, he however said green wing which is the larger of the red macaws, about the permit, I applied for one at the ministry of forestry at farm road st joseph but they were for my yellow crown parrot and they never came, dunno about macaws tho...

I have a little home garden and a few trees and i have noticed a few hummingbirds have been visiting .

I have set up a hummingbird feeder and today makes it day #3 and they have not yet noticed the feeder, or maybe they are avoiding it.

I am doing alot of research to attract hummingbirds to my property, and i intend to start planting more flowers. I have a list of flowers that hummingbirds like and i have no idea where to start looking for them.

Tuners if you have any of the plants below, please let me know.

The Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources disclosed today that as part of the amended law, people with pet parrots and caged birds will now be required to apply for a license to keep the animals, which are now regarded as protected according to law.

Is there any superstition around them? They making people uncomfortable

Feuner suggested it may be the yellow headed Cara Cara but it sure as hell looks different in the Google pics. Sounds like a toucan a lot but I dismissed it as hawks raiding a bird nest and birds making noise. Till I took a better look at they were not chicken hawks, they looked way bigger and very eerie.

No superstitions, but they are pretty big for a bird of prey. Their wingspan is quite a bit bigger than the common hawks. Their calls do sound like toucans, but with a bit of a distorted pitch.

I can't get over the colour tho. Belly looks brown with french fries stuck all over it. They did have some size. Poor things probably calling for water.

Out of all the things I fear are birds. I pick up and handle snakes and caimans like it's childsplay and most people find it odd how I fear birds. But I see the kind of damage they can do and the reign of terror birds have around here.

It's a juvenile Yellow-headed Caracara

They are brown in colour when young...

Completely harmless and eat roadkill and other small animals.
