[quote="Kinday"]What B20VTEK said exactly...you asking too much questions. Guys here went through the same situation, the serious ones at least, and much of their knowledge came from research as well as trial and error. Don't expect results on a plate if that's what you're seeking...thats the magazine type mentality, you read it and if it works for them it'll work for me right...WRONG.

A lot of guys gave good advice to guide your focus...yet, we are 6 pages in and you're still not sure which direction you truly want to go. Start seriously researching your options across the net, in books, talking to open minded mechanics and tuners, et al. I am certain that you have a vision of your project in your mind. Why not share the key points of that vision and let the gurus help you from there. I do give you credit for knowing how fast you want to go and how much you're willing to spend....many guys can't do that. You're going to get your goals though, they are very much within reach.

I THOUGHT I DID SHARE D KEY POINTS IN MY OPENIN CRITERIA B4 I ASKED 4 HELP :?:

ALSO I'VE PRETTY MUCH MADE UP MY MIND BAISED ON D GREAT ADVICE GIVEN(EITHER B18C-R OR MODDED B16A) :?: :?:

SO WAT IF I'M STILL ASKIN QUES :?: :?: ,I VALUE D GURUS ADVICE LOCALLY SO I WOULD NOT REPEAT PAST MISTAKES :!: :!:

No scene...I guess I missed the re-edit of your initial post.

You'll hit your target with the B18C-R lightly modded (I/H/E aggresive tune). You'll have to do a bit much with the B16 to get the similar performance

14.3 on the quarter was my best time at wallerfield with a 2.4 60ft
b18c in a hatch

14.9 was my best time with the b16a in a hatch and is dragaholics time with his hatch
b16a with just ihe stock engines

time slips to prove

some camden times seem to be questionable especially if the timing system was not setup by autosport,,,,,,,,,

i am no guru

howwver there seem to be plenty others posting here jsut copying and pasting from the internet

first you must ask yourslef how many of the people posting have acutal track times/experince to backup thier thoughts
and how many have just spent moeny with very little gains

14.9 is possible on STOCK b16a with just intake exhaust and headers and a stock ecu
a good clutch and pressure plate setup as well as decent street and strip tyres

there are those who will doubt that and be quick to add performance parts

generally a b16a in an eg hatch will do the 14.9
in an ek hatch all things being equal should be around 15.0 15.1 due to it being heavier than the eg

SR is spot on with that info.....keeping an engine healthy while using light mods can really make a huge difference in performance.

jc-wit my former Ek4 sedan-HEALTY B16A stock intake(K&N drop-in),stock headers,exhaust(just took out d silencer),stock clutch,normal nixxen tyres & flashed ecu,wit no weight reduction at all(spare tyre still in trunk),light weight 15''s & SUPER GAS i made a 15.4 pass. i remember takin 2 a parthner b4 i went up tellin a a stock B16a does 16.4/.3 at best,so dat 15.4 felt great,i never dyno it though
