Mercedes just messed up the strategy, but they did seal the two titles for the season already so didn't really lose anything except pride

as much as I dislike the rottenham, 5 sec seemed overly harsh imo....should have gone down as a racing incident
Same for Vettel....that could have just as easily been a tap / nugde that happens all the time in racing...sucky luck

Was amazing the amount of damage the ferraris got. I suppose it was the speed they were going at which really amplified it.

Both of them set off on a straight line course with those lines intersecting just as Vettel was almost ahead of LeClerc. \



Palmer's analysis vids are quite good. Showed how LeClerc did a more aggressive move next to Norris earlier in the race. Clearly he's trying to assert dominance and that's why he didn't bother to move left to avoid Vettel earlier. Only thing they losing out on is P3 in the championship.

Hamilton's dive bomb was a little worse than Ricciardo's where Mag kinda squeezed him onto the curb and that caused him to understeer into Mag. Opinion was that because he got a 5 second penalty they had no choice really with Lewis.

Next year shaping up to be very interesting. Hopefully going into 2020 it's more of this even though the tyres are going to be a little different.

whats interestign is how the language of his announcement is so much like HamilCrei. Looking forward to 2020 for real as Both Hamilton and Toto will be out of contract.....lets see how it tarries into 2021....

But next year gonna be rouse.... Bottas 3.0, HondaStappen,,,,, LeCler-Fast,......plus Albon and Norris nipping at them and keeping them honest....Let's see if Mercedes has anymore power to make...to compliment their uber oiled strategy machine.

Lets see if the F1-Mafia allows Hamilton a seventh. God knows the past 5 he's brought tons of money and PR to the sport....

Hamilton used to be hot headed back in McLaren but since he's been at Mercedes he has been much smarter on track.

He'd rather finish 2nd and not screw up his WDC title hunt.

The only incident this season was maybe the Albon one where he denied Albon a podium.

If anything Ferrari has almost always gotten the benefit of the doubt. The Vettel penalty in Canada may be the only contentious one.

Kinda have to prove yourself when you now enter F1, and with experience comes wisdom. McLaren were also at the pointy end of the standings in those days.

It is always harder when you have something to prove. A lot less to prove after you win your first driver's title. The pressure of having to prove something have pushed drivers into making mistskes they normally wouldn't.

I also recall an old saying by a WRC team boss(different sport but still motor racing). "It is easier to bring a driver who gives 110% back down to 100% than it is to push a driver that gives 90% to go at 100%.

The alphatauri/new Torro rosso is possibly the most beautiful livery I've ever seen. Its gorgeous

It looks like the BMW of the 2000s which Heidfeld and Kubica drove.

The 2007 and 2008 McLaren is the best from the modern era.

The 85 Lotus with the John Player livery is still the best of them all imo.

I saw a couple people mention it reminded them of bmw post Williams...except it's a completely different shade of white and blue with 2 halves, not a blue diagonal stripe like bmw used (same pattern from senna's mclsren). Also, the incorporation of the logo is done seamlessly and itself adds character.

I didnt like the 08 mclaren...colour selection was nice but together looked off. I suppose you really liked the rich energy haas also then lol
