Congrats to Messi on the hattrick. He has now pass Ronaldo as the top scorer in the league with 24 goals to Ronaldo's 22 (although Real still have to play tomorrow).

2008-09 season he had 38 goals
2009-2010 he had 47 goals

Messi now has 40 goals in 33 games already this season (17 assists) and we slightly cross the halfway mark. He should definitely score 50+ this season. Just when you think he peak with the goalscoring he just scoring more and more.

What even more amazing is that 22 different players score for Barca this season (4 from the B side too). The only outfield player on the side yet to score is Mascherano.

Guardiola new contract until 2012

FC Barcelona announce that they have reached an agreement with Josep Guardiola to renew his contract with the club for another season, until the 30th of June 2012.
The signing of the contract will take place in the next few days.

Update: Coach Pep Guardiola will sign his new contract with FC Barcelona on Tuesday the 22nd of February at 13.30 CET
