Boost is good till they get a load of the servicing costs.
Have my N/A 2.0L Gas Tucson for just under 10,000kms now.
5,000km service was $1,300 and the 10,000kms service cost $1,700.
I'm genuinely afraid as to what the next service gonna cost.

Boost doesn't govern service costs for these vehicles. Literally they changing oil and oil filter the same as on your vehicle. They fcuk you in labour anyway. Boost is the least of your problems in these vehicles.
Allergic2BunnyEars wrote:Oil was about $300 -400? Filter about $100 - 200?

Dizzy sure Massy didn't sell him a diesel Tuscon without telling him??
eliteauto wrote:anyone knows what's Massy's policy regarding external servicing and their warranty? What is required to keep your warranty intact?
drchaos wrote:Seems service costs are skyrocketing ... Had a friend tell me it cost around $900 on her prev gen Tucson to do filter and oil ...
Dizzy reporting $1300 now ... Jeez that is a big jump.

I'm thinking if one should forgo the warranty and opt to service externally, the money that you'd save would probably do well in a savings to cover expenses should something require changing or repairing that would otherwise be covered under the warranty (which is 3, 5 years at most)..in addition, even if you have warranty, you still have labour costs which are obviously rather exorbitant.

You sound like you would be happier in a Toyota.

After good will replacement ($1000) labour vw calls a week later to say we owe $7k because vw Germany only covering a portion of the replacement cost. This after we were allowed to take the car home. They got nothing more from me though and apologised after lawyer talk. Also only one year warranty on the new mechatronic. A $20k part.
This weekend car is idling rough. Good it works for you but not worth the stress for me.
