Car dealers scrambling to keep up profit margins up and they will start getting desperate, that is what SS is doing with that optima.
Been doing some research on these hybrids ... with no taxes the landed cost is ridiculously low
You can get a Honda fit hybrid landed for just over 100K, Vezel hybrid for just over 150K and a prius for around 170K. That is if you bring in the vehicle yourself and cut out the middle man (FU dealer) who will add anywhere from 10 to 40K on that price.
Prius can be serviced at Toyota firm as they are supposed to service any Toyota vehicle. I never thought I would see the day where I am talking about Toyota's in a positive light, have to thank colm for that.

Wait wait wat.... Toyota firm supposed to service ANY Toyota vehicle??? That applies to RORO like noah, voxy, probox, elgrand, alphard etc?
Care to elaborate and explain this interesting fact (assuming it is indeed fact)

Since the dealership is owned by Toyota international that is supposed to be the case. What they will not do is honor warranty unless the car is sold by them. Once you own a regular Toyota its probably better to take the car to an outside mechanic because their service rates and cost for parts would be much higher. Only instance this would make sense is for a hybrid in my view.

Even then I don't agree.
Maintenance on the hybrid system itself is literally non existent. Maintenance of the Prius is no different to a regular car.
