a good case i recently started to love was the CM 690 II. WE bought one recently for a build.

in circuit zone for 520 w.o tax i find that was a good price. i always thought it was small but wow it aint.

but for that price the HAF would be my choice :D

what you talking about? are these just custom maps?

how uz test the power consumption?

Either use the Kill-A-Watt meter or use an online PSU calculator to get an average.

http://techpowerup.com/reviews/HIS/Radeon_HD_6870/

pretty much what i thought it would be, nice to see the price soo low, and nice to see 1120 stream processors beating 1440, if they can fit 2000 or more stream processors into the 6970, GTX 580 will be a massive fail

I will not knock it before i try it but for lower prices and less temps even just a bit of power more I dont think so

Its like me sitting here trying to figure out what to buy as a car a Toyota Pirus or Mitsubishi Evo 10 or better yet a v12 gas guzzler

Point am making is that ATI could even give away those cards free and people will still run to Nvidia, i personally will as well. There are so many factors where Nvidia is better, Just like the AMD, Intel fan base, note am an AMD guy since all the money is spent on other parts of my rig, Its a mix of performance and cost, where as Intel speaks for itself anybody choose to argue the points feel free to fact is Performance talks, who cares about >>>>>>Temps being to high, or Using to much power and all that NOBODY..................

So inclosing i will spend all my life in a gas station paying insurance and like every mile i get on my Evo 10 LOL.

Note the evo part was me dreaming out loud but you feel the comparision.

na man....when i say Hi performance.....i meant something like this
http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-V ... B001AQWLTQ

or a SSD or if u have the $

i have one of that, and its worlds apart from ur standard HDD.....300gb is enough to have all ur progs on.....u can use the other drives for storing music, movies etc

i find it hard to understand what u talkin abt....3 yrs ago, Nvidia was dominant in the GPU market.....but ATI has been on the up and has since taken the crown for GFX king (for now).....

u must always be open-minded and leave fanboyism for ppl who are not tech-savvy

bushwakka

I am being open minded but the figures and enthusiasts have spoken, people use the term fanboy but come on. If something is clearly better than something and there are facts that show that hows that being a fan boy, More so similar if something is catered for one type of person or niche market then so be it the term fanboy is used incorrectly and its cause of it people get confused.

The both manufactures have technology catered to many different types...............

I hope you are not being mislead by my words as i will be here to explain my points as i go along

^ur contention is that nVidia is better than ATI/AMD?
how can such a broad statement be made, when in the recent past (at least a couple mths ago)....ATI cards were touting the most firepower?

i dunno abt now....haven't researched who has the best card...but the crown switches heads so often, its hard to say that one company is better than the other

bushwakka i think your not getting the Point, there will always be comparison as there are different levels of the market each vendor is being catered too.

Price not being an option what processor you would choose between a
980x and a 1090t

Or a 480sc and 5970oc

And from a technological pov broad statements can be made hence my comparison in the simplest form where i said an evo or prius so thats my take on it.

if your trying to say... fan base is greater yada yada.... and that ppl will buy a brand cuz of trust and they like it....

i agree to an extent.

I will ALWAYS buy a nvidia for a gaming and ati for a video application... right now i having issue with tearing (i bet its codecs but w/e).
And i will ALWAYS chose intel over amd. but if i need a budget i will never go intel. I bet if i do even a i5 update... my 460 will scream! but i am not going to, simply because i cant afford it and i can buy an amd setup for half the price id pay and maybe even get 3 amd's if i went i7.

Also, always remember.. you get what u pay for AND Moore's Law...

From that review, my initial view on that 6870 is that... id keep my lifetime warranty 460gtx... and it eh worth it. i bet a 5850 can match it's performance...

call me a fanboy i dont care... but if i see a brand working for me... i will stick with it... just like if you ask a man if Biostar boards work bess (HCCA... doe say a word eh) and he will say yes... and ask me if ASUS better than that and i will say yes.. at the end of the day... ppl will buy something they know/trust will work.

I tbh after my experience with BFG and eVGA i will buy eVGA forever! i messaged eVGA and within 15minutes i got a reply... :|

I understand what u say virus, it basically boils down to what floats your boat and makes you happy... and intel and nvdia for gaming makes me happy

I still find the 460GTX to be like the 8800GT bombshell...
anyway.. was looking for the teardown of my card and found this...
