Haven't checked the ISUZU Dmax.. Don't really like the look but I'll consider it. Thanks

Amarok has been out since 2010/2011 in other markets.
All automotive companies have scandals, Trini's beloved Toyota's were killing people with poorly designed accelerator pedals that were getting stuck and they covered it up until they were caught.

You do realize that the accelerator issue was mainly due to driver/owner incompetence.
Anyhow.... Love my Toyota.... Hate the dealership... namely the service dept.
I haven't gone back to service since the 1000km checkup. I only go back to get certain parts that cannot be located easily on the outside.

I am not denying a pedal problem, but that isn't the reason people died to acceleration of an engine running at wot. The sticking pedal just meant it took longer for the pedal to return to 0% or would stick at partial throttle.
The charges were due to cost of investigations and Toyota's failure to report the pedal problem.
Recalls were done to address the pedal and also to modify existing systems to better assist the driver in emergency situations.

looking for a suv/cuv within the range of 300k.
Except for front grill and fog lights, kia sporage 2016 is very tempting ..considering the price and number of features(300k/fully loaded). but heard so many negative comments about southern sales...sooo confused whether to go with them or look for alternatives...please give your valuable suggestions/alternative suv within my range.
RAV 4
thanks for the reply
but,any specific reason for RAV4?

The car seats are fitting without stress and there is feature to deactivate the airbag in front if we decide to put a child there. The normal 5 seat SUV's is a very tight fit. The Amarok is not cramping for space at all.. But I'm still listening to advice.. Nothing cast on stone yet.. Appreciate the feedback I'm getting. Also it have isofix and some pretty good safety features for the kids safety.

No offense man but basically you added alot of fluff to say same thing I was saying ...
1) The cars had a design flaw
2) Company tried to cover up
3) People died ... and you may say driver error but if the accelerator pedal never had a problem in the first place those people would have been alive. Pedal problem precedes the decisions the drivers made in a frightening situation. You can stand there and judge but in a frightening situation you don't even know how you would react.
4) Recall and big fine was paid out for their mess and trying to hide it.
America is the land to sue but the company was FINED by the FEDERAL government, mega difference.
As Allergic2bunnyears will say these cars are made by men and will always have design flaws. Its how you handle those design flaws. The correct thing to do is have a immediate recall not try to cover it up. Which leads again to the point that the big three car companies don't care about you. All they care about your money and after they get it they don't care if your wife has a miscarriage from inhaling toxic amounts of diesel fumes from an amarok or you die from burns to 90% of your body when your corolla bursts into flames from faulty wiring in the door.

Sometimes this can be as simple as a relay that is blown assuming it was aftermarket part?

My VW CC still at the dealership since August 2015. They say the problem is the remote start, but I had the remote start installed since September 2014 and it was working fine. It only started to give problems less than a week after I got a service done at Best Auto in August 2015. They ordered like 3 different parts, each taking 3 weeks to a month to arrive. None of those parts solved the problem. Honestly, I just find it odd that they blame it on the remote start that was working fine for 11 months. They say they've been working on the car, but I highly doubt it.
