^^I'm sure it can, but why go through all that and not just buy it and done.

Thanks for the pocket amrit90901. I was a bit disappointed though, I thought it would have been a bit deeper.

lol...but i said so.

Couldve removed the cd changer from the finisher and install a generic 1 din pocket.
Pocket wouldve been the size of a standard 1 din deck.

What is the problem you are experiencing

experiencing erratic idle with the 4g15 gdi. so i was searching and found that theres not icv on the gdi. so i am wondering now what is causing it. going to clean the egr valve and see if that helps. cleaned the throttle body and it did not help.

also, when i am idling and i press the x-pedal i get alot of white smoke so i am thinking that maybe the cylinder head gasket may need to be replaced?? i am also gonna look at having the catylitic converter cleaned???

There are a couple places with the manual conversion however no ECU available for that either.

Next step is to fix up the Madza that I have and use that until I could get ECU or conversion done on the Lancer.

So I will be a Madza driver for the new year

rosin you found you ecu as yet?
Went yesterday to get a power steering hose from a guy as mine started to get oil around the crimps, realised he had a couple of parts for the 4g15. a ecu being one of them
Could pm you a number if you still need to get one.

bought one today and sent it to the electrician hopefully Monday I will get the car as the E C U was confirmed working

Madman there was a guy selling a set in the classifieds sometime ago. Dunno if he ever got it sold.
He had a bunch of CS stuff visors, eyelids, vortex etc.

Mety, apart from that guy I mentioned you can check Garvins on Long Circular Road he had for around $6-700. Or you can get it through eBay at a price of about $40US then add shipping etc. would get a approximate landed cost for you later.

Under my transmission is wet with of course, that red fluid, transmission fluid. In order to stop this leak, would the entire transmission have to come down? What could possibly be my issue here?

Most likely that's axle seals.
DM has those for like $60 a seal, walk with your chasis number.

Idle I hope you are right for BrotherHood's sake.

Has anyone ever experienced problems with their door locks?

More specifically speaking, when I lock the driver side door from the inside by turning the lock the other doors don't always lock and sometimes they lock a few seconds after.

I'm thinking it's the actual door lock cable. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Furthermore, is there a way to service this cable and no it is not the actuator?

That's the door actuator needs to be replaced, cost about $60 at repuauto. You will need the 3 wire actuator and it's very simple to install.

So can I take the car to a mechanic and have these seals changed?
As Biggs said, I hope such is the case.
But if it is the axle, why is there tranny fluid?

Yup Mech can change it for you.
Its just a matter of pulling out the axles and replacing.
Let him grease up the joints and boot rubbers one time.
The seals prevent tranny oil from leaking out where the axles enter the transmission.
That area doesnt carry much tranny oil, but it has enough to notice a leak.
Of course all this is assuming its the seals that needs changing.
Did you knock the wheels or undercarriage anytime recently?

Kiddo as I said before it is not the door actuator. I know this for a fact because I installed a new one myself on new years day, and it was the two wire one. I believe the CS uses the two wire one. Well at least my car.

Thanks for your response anyways. Maybe I should have mentioned that I get the same delay when I use the alarm remote as well.

Biggs you installed the universal actuator right?
If so check the adjustment on the lines,if its too high up the line the lock tries to engage but doesnt and if it too slack your door wudnt close or you ll get a delay in the door lock being closed(and since the front door locks all doors you know what goin to happen)
sheit happened to me already when i installed a universal actuator the screw was tigthen enuff and after somedays of locking and unlocking the door the clip slid down the rod a little and was causing a delay in the other locks of the car.

If you hearing the motors running then the best bet will be to scrap down as far as you can go and see where the motor is not making contact with the mirror.

Never opened it up so I not to sure how it works.
Dunno if a window man or electrician can help.

Check harrys power window in el secorro side there. Somewhere opposite the school after you make the turn after courtesy car parts.

Either the gear is broken or out of place

^^^What he Said...

Mety would you buy an original deck when the original one stops working?? Don't answer that pal, just kidding

Thanks for the feedback Nissan4life.

I will scrap the door skin and investigate over the weekend if I get chance.

The funny thing is that if I play with the lock and unlock on the alarm remote a couple times all doors lock in sync with no delay.
