Best wiper blade that I have used so far is the PIAA Super Sporza Silicone Wiper. I have that on my car for over a year now and they still wipe the same way as when I first put them on. I find that this brand is better than the Michelin wipers which I had before. I bought them off Amazon.com and brought them in through my skybox.

Michelin wipers made by plyon

Postby spirited721 » May 13th, 2013, 10:44 am

so after 2 pairs of michelins that lasted about 6months each (1 stealth, 1 regular steel framed) i decided to try bosch and on changing the steel framed michelins i noticed 'PLYON' engraved on the wiper and thought "wait daz not d $20 wiper blade?"

so after a little google-ing i have learnt that michelin wiper blades are actually made by plyon and now have me wondering if that's any indication of quality.

Any views???

I tell myself why spend all that money on Michelin when the performance was not that outstanding or long lasting to me.

I will pay my $60 for my cheap blades and change when necessary like before yes..........

I have a pair of 2 week old Michelins lying around. They certainly do skip like Pylons. Thought they were going to break my wiper arms off, they were so bad. I will never ever buy Michelin blades again EVER.

Funny how my first set lasted over a year and the second set were like this, as were those bought for other vehicles.

Changed all to $30/pair blades and all silent and clean. If i get 3 months out of these I'll be happy @ $10/month.

Speak for yourselves... I haven't had great luck with the frameless michelin's, but I have been using the same pair of Michelin (by pylon) rainforce regular wipers on the pajero for 4 years now and they don't skip for nothing. They will wipe rain or mud with no trouble at all...

It is all a matter

7 months on michelin frameless without a problem so far. I have to say though, the first set of michelin wipers I used lasted about two years without issue, those were the metal framed ones though.

First set were metal frames. Thought to myself..."those worked well lemmie just go with the same thing again"

Boy was i wrong. Fraid to even try frameless now.

I usually like to buy parts i can fit and forget but I'd hate to spend a set of money on some new ones like Rainex graphite coated blades and i get Michelin/Pylon performance.

Isn't there a wiper blade thread already?

I recently used PIAA and now have Bosch Icons on my car. Both of those brands are very good.

I must be doing something wrong, the Michelin doesn't last 4 months before skipping and noise. I clean them regular enough with soap and water but don't use the rainx

I have found recently the michelin wipers on the market locally are of lower quality than previous ones i had from wallmart suspect they probably using a cheaper manufacturer now not sure if its knockoffs on the local market

Sorry about the late reply, I now checked this thread.

I bought the Bosch Icons on Amazon.com and brought them in through my skybox.

So aside from the bad reviews on the Michelin blades, where can I get the good stuff?
Cuz I'm sure I look like a crazy man spraying wiper fluid on my windscreen just to stop the skipping.

Try cleaning the blade with rubbibg alcohol then apply amoral and let soak to soften the rubber
