What is surprising is that the Phoenix Plant was actually installed partially to assist with the management ot entrained liquids and it seems as if things over the last 2 years or so have gone out of 'wack'.
The 'incident' experienced this morning if true means we are entering a particularly troubling phase of our gas condition and $ losses and disruptions are going to increase.
This same situation arose in the mid 80's and claims were flying between NGC and customers on a regular basis.
What is obvious break downs in the efficiency of service providers is becomung a norm, tele in a mess, water in a mess and now energy supplies could become difficult to sustain at approp. levels of efficiency.
In the face of global economic challenges T&T seems to be unable to get up to speed to mount a fight for survival.
Whilst Rome on fire all man-jack seem to be playing with fire-works!

Remember this thread and observations made at the time.
It might be informative to use here to monitor what I anticipate to become an on-going exposure at least for the next couple of years.
Last-nite was no big surprise!

POWER BEING RESTORED SLOWLY TO TRINIDAD FOLLOWING NATIONAL POWER OUTAGE
Posted by MEEA Comms ⋅ March 29, 2013 ⋅ Leave a Comment

Power is being restored slowly across the length and breadth of Trinidad and Tobago, following a nation-wide power outage which began just after midnight on Friday 29 March, 2013.

Reports coming in from citizens across the country to national radio stations indicate the following:

Tobago was the first to receive power once more, by roughly 3 a.m. on Friday. Most of the island has been restored, however some areas on the sister isle remain without power
The Southern-most parts of Trinidad — up to the Fyzabad area — had power restored by 7 a.m. However, some parts of South East Trinidad remain without power
Central Trinidad saw power restored by 9 a.m.
Much of North East Trinidad and the East-West Corridor had power restored by 9 a.m.
Much of North and West Trinidad remains without power (as at 9 a.m. on Friday)

Executives from the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) indicated there was an issue with natural gas supplies to Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited (PPGPL) which resulted in the national power outage. PPGPL was unable to supply quality gas to the power generating entities in the country. There was a situation which developed at the Cove Industrial Estate in Tobago, leaving the sister isle without power as well. However, the situation in Tobago was rectified quickly, and power was restored within a couple of hours.

With respect to Trinidad, the situation was complicated further by the fact that existing redundancies at NGC failed to kick-in. Plant and equipment which was shut down during the outage will take several hours to power back up, and resume operations at full capacity. As such, officials explain that full restoration of power to the island may not happen before noon today. National Security Minister, Jack Warner, has indicated that electricity may not be available to the North and Western parts of Trinidad before that time.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC has asked for comprehensive reports from both the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs and the Ministry of Public Utilities, as to the cause of the blackout and what contingencies or redundancies should be put in place to avoid a recurrence of such a situation.

There is expected to be a meeting of all the major entities involved in providing power to the nation today, to troubleshoot what had taken place.

Actually hoss, I was quite pleased to meet police twice last night patrolling my street, slowing down and taking a look with flashlights etc. Plus a Padna said he met a roadblock in arima about 2pm.
