some teams went there to set a record and put alot of research into their craft but total lack of wind and most times the little wind was in the wrong direction, that was the bane of most of the hopefuls

some of those planes were very capable of passing 52ft

some teams went there to set a record and put alot of research into their craft but total lack of wind and most times the little wind was in the wrong direction, that was the bane of most of the hopefuls

some of those planes were very capable of passing 52ft

the trend was those with the biggest and sturdiest crafts got the furthest...alot of the wings flopped once gravity got hold of them...
the other factor was how quickly they were being pushed...obi wanted and corbeaux built up alot of speed, whereas island people who supposedly had the best craft barely ran...

they honestly thought pointin down was gonna give a good launch?

they hit the edge, otherwise they may have well gotten the furthest...weight was at the back, so once going down steadily and quickly, the back would drop giving the front lift and allow them to glide for a long distance...
same thing happened for the record holder, and also for obi wanted when the flyer leaned back once going downward...difference was obi wanted was alot heavier...

the last part of the ramp should've been a +ve gradient to set the nose correctly and give them a vertical boost. was a good idea tho to get added velocity
