actually, that exact thing happened to me some last december. I have a 2005 AD and it tumbled well and started and then suddenly dipped and stalled. i had to make a long journey that day so i was kinda worried about using it in that conditon. I called this mechanic named timmy and he brought his launch diagnostic scanner and, after logging on to the vehicle's on board computer, we then realised no check engine light came on. How embarrassed my dad and i was.
anyways, we wetn to a nearby auto parts store and bought a new air filter ($35-40) and new long spark plugs ($200 plus) and he cleaned the throttle body and the probelm was solved. No more engien dying or stalling. it ran really great.
I recommend changing air filter and spark plugs. Needless to say, the problem is with air/fuel delivery.
also, these modern engines do not require warming up. just start and drive.
