Last Saturday at 3:00 pm I held a press conference where I announced publicly that I would be endorsing Kamla Persad Bissessar and the UNC, and this was mainly because Gary Griffith had publicly broken with them and was no longer part of any alliance or accommodation with them.

As of yesterday morning I have learnt that he is now recanting and has announced his intentions to reconnect with them.

Let me make this pellucidly clear. I do not trust Gary Griffith nor some of the personalities in his orbit, and I will be no part of anything he is a part of.

He is of no political benefit to anyone, his reckless eagerness to do whatever it takes to get what he wants creates a dangerous environment and I am not interested in being involved in any of that.

As of this morning I am cancelling all media appearances, all public statements and all public meetings until the leadership of the UNC decides if Gary Griffith or any of the people he’s involved with are again part of any accommodation with them in any capacity.

Pending that information I will inform the public of what my next course of action would be.
