Fraud Squad officers are carrying out investigations into an incident at Massy Stores, Maraval, after a customer’s debit card was allegedly used in the online purchase of more than $2,000 worth of items.

The victim, who lives at Saddle Road, Maraval, visited the store on December 8, and used her RBC debit card to purchase groceries.

She told police that after she realised she had forgotten the card at the store, she returned to the establishment on December 11 and was presented with it by an employee.

When the woman checked with her bank, she was informed the card had been used to make[b][b] online purchases[/b][/b] amounting to $2,237.58.

A report was later made to the police and enquiries are continuing.

Banks don’t care about one off debit card fraud.

If the card was used to make online purchases, I'm assuming it's a credit card she left behind.

If it was a credit card (e.g. Visa), won't refunds or liability concerns be governed by Visa/MasterCard/whomever the card is with, rather than the bank solely?

nah you can use the VISA debit cards that all banks use now to make a local online transaction. That's why I saying it's easy for the bank+police to track this.

Terrence F. whom his followers know as Dr. Terrence Farrell says, "I do have information which is not and may never be in the public domain."

It is worth noting that Dr. Terrence Farrell (Terrence F.) is the father of one of the directors at Massy Holdings, Mr. M. K. Farrell.

I would like to raise two questions:

1. Given the family connection, shouldn't Terrence F. be cautious in his claims about having non-public information and how he may have come to possess such information which is related to the Massy matter and my statement at the AGM? Is this in accordance with the appropriate corporate conduct he purports to be concerned about?

2. Should Terrence F. be allowed to publicly make statements about the "rogue" - being me, whom he feels with assumed righteousness (or perhaps permission?) to be operating outside established norms or controls?
