The UK has more than 4x Trinidad's confirmed COVID cases per million people.hover11 wrote:Trust the science

Hey now, let the UK be a test bed to see what the future holds. It'd be very interesting to see what happens this winter.

So safe to say, a simple wiping of surfaces with cleaning agents would sufficeadnj wrote:hover11 wrote:Where Dohplaydat, didn't you state that covid doesn't live on surfaces for long so why are companies still using these harsh sanitization methods if that is the case?
You can contact COVID from surfaces but that is not the most likely mechanism.
How COVID-19 is spread
The most common way you can get COVID-19 is by coming into close contact with someone who has the virus.
Close contact
COVID-19 is mainly spread through the air in drops of liquid that come from the nose and mouth of an infected person.
Airborne spread
In crowded indoor places with poor ventilation, tiny drops containing the virus can sometimes spread over a longer distance.
Infected surfaces
You can also get the virus from infected surfaces. For example, when someone who has the virus sneezes or coughs, droplets with the virus can fall onto surfaces around them.
If you touch that surface and then touch your eyes, nose or mouth, you could become infected too.
Getting COVID-19 from surfaces is probably much less common than getting it through the air from someone who has the virus. But keeping your hands clean can reduce the risk of getting COVID-19 and other infections.

I am sure a different virus will come around..much deadlier and will take precedence over this one.wtf wrote:Wiĺl COVID-19 ever be over?

Very correct this was just a test trial ....a type of classical conditioning to see how society would accept such notions as vax passes and safe zonesaaron17 wrote:I am sure a different virus will come around..much deadlier and will take precedence over this one.wtf wrote:Wiĺl COVID-19 ever be over?

Were they not the same country under boris leadership that disregarded what the scientists were saying such as mask wearing and keeping the restrictions, stating that they will live with the virus why now are you returning to eat your own vomit, when you could have kept the restrictions and mask wearing in the first place. Proposed solution :stop pretending that the virus is going to disappear because you want it to be over , it doesn't work like thatKenjo wrote:hover11 wrote:Yea just continue spinning top in mudst7 wrote:then doh take the vaccine *shrugs
Proposed solution ?
Exactly those deaths were unwarranted if they kept the restrictions and mask wearing but no they decided that they were back to normal but covid had another opinion on that matter, just yesterday we had over 300 cases with mask wearing a tiny country like thisKenjo wrote:So keep a compromise with restrictions and do all measures such as vaccination , masks , social distancing etc
I believe it is both tbh, a majority of the public think that because they are vaccinated they are somewhat immune and safe from harm, so they flaunt the rules or relax them a bit to the point where if you tell a man to pull up his mask he quick to tell you I vaccinated what's the problem, so you see what we dealing with......eitech wrote:What really causing the general rise in infections? A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggests that although the delta variant is significantly more transmissible than prior variants, it is not more likely to lead to hospitalization.
Instead, the dramatic uptick in hospitalizations seen during the summer's delta surge was fueled by the highly transmissible variant spreading easily among mostly unvaccinated people, the CDC said.
The report, which analyzed COVID-19 hospitalization data from 14 states, also found that the proportion of people aged 18 to 49 hospitalized with delta increased "significantly" in July and August to 35.8% of all hospitalizations compared to 24.7% from January to June of this year. This was likely due to lower vaccination rates among younger people, the CDC said.

No. You are lying to yourself. No one, NO ONE has said any VOC was more deadly, save for the Alpha variant in the UK but this was not definitive.hover11 wrote:So we've been lied to all along when they said that the Delta variant was extremely deadly and would lead to more hospitalizations?
