Postby GrimRaper » March 8th, 2021, 9:49 am

First time doing an oil change on the vehicle I recently bought. Mazda 3 2008. What is a good brand of engine oil?

Most of the popular brands will be great to use.
The question is weight and if synthetic or not.

Check the manual for the vehicle if you have it and stick to the recommended viscosity (weight)

I have a friend with that same vehicle and he swears that the best he used is the Shell Helix HX7 synth blend in 5w-40 or 10w-40

He used a lot of other brands and feels like the engine was quietest with this

Check out some of these oils https://homemakerguide.com/best-oils-fo ... werstroke/. Seems to be a good selection of engine oils. I mainly buy Castrol, but oils from other manufacturers are also good.
