DSP options available in TT?

Postby altec » January 25th, 2021, 6:20 pm

Ok I am looking for options for DSP replacement. Its just options at this point in case mine don't work (shelved for 5 years). So, what is available in TT for a beater vehicle? DSP to be replaced is MS-8. System is 2 way in front, coax in the rear, one sub.

A reputable brand 8 output DSPs should work fine. Keep in mind however, if you are integrating to a factory system/HU and the signal need to be reconstructed or restored, ensure the dsp has provision for this.

Hey, good suggestion. I have one of these which I intended to install in my car. However, if I recall, in the earlier days there were issues with noises when installed in cars(so I never installed it). Since then however, I've seen that a lot of foreign budget builds has them so I guess the issue was rectified. I currently use mine to process a pair of bookshelf speakers which isnt even necessary since the speakers are fine without it.

Diyma says it still has noise with the remote. Some say you have to really listen to hear it, and cannot be heard at idle

I used the JL Audio twk88 for a while and it was an excellent DSP. No noise and lots to capabilities in a very small and neat platform with a cool GUI.

Sound and Security had it available. I got mine online though
