By the time I got home the headlights where clear again. I have my first scheduled 1000km service next Saturday.

1. is this condensation normal? (I doubt it)

2. Should I pack my hooligan face when I visit SS? (Kidding).....maybe

1. is this condensation normal? YES; you can read more on this in the owners manual

2. Should I pack my hooligan face when I visit SS? (Kidding)..... I think if you are nice to the persons i service they will be happy to assist you. Catch more bees with honey.

how is condensation in a headlight normal?
that says to me there is a leak

Much more normal than you think. There was a guy specifically drilling tiny holes in the bottom of headlights in a dealership

:faint: the thought of that sheit in a new car makes me cringe.
that would just lead to discoloring headlights, corrosion on connectors and possibly failure.

Probably just improperly sealed headlights. Common problem. May have to remove cover to allow light to dry out then tighten the cover properly to prevent future condensation.

Went to SS yesterday and it was confirmed that the condensation was in fact "normal." Imagine my excitement!!

Kia owners how is the after sales support from SS? have they improved?

I am thinking of getting the Cerato or Mazda 3

Thanks.

The service is OK cant complain.
Something important people overlook is having a good sales rep from the beginning, just incase you get a raw deal with the service and maintenance department, they can help you out. Most Reps at any dealer just sell you the car and you dont hear from them again but as my previous post mentioned, I would advise you and anyone interested in a Kia to have Feroze ('KIA Motors' on trinituner) handle your sale. Ive had no complaints about this guy and after a year since the sale, I can still call on him for any after sales issues.

Have not had any difficulties *knock on wood* with SS to date as far as servicing is concerned. Once you book and keep your dates you should be fine. Heard stories about problems for parts but I can't say first hand.

Did my 20,000 km service today. Total cost was $1500, inclusive of:
-Oil
-Oil Filter
-Air Filter
-AC Filter (this gets changed at the 20k apparently)

Couple things to note:

-You can bring in your own oil and pay for them to change. I was skeptical about this, but was assured that the oil I bring in will be used.

-My front brake pads need to change soon. I was given a ridiculous cost of $1500TT installed. I asked them if I can bring in the OEM pads myself for them to install and they said yes. I will need to pay $250 for labour.

Just a heads up...

Not really. I autocrossed a few times last year. Regular drivers would see a longer lifespan.

Plus I'm on 28k km.

Autocross a cerato? Srs question
I experienced the same thing with factory brake pads on a new elantra. Front brakes don't last at all. Maybe its a Korean thing
