Features yes!
But in terms of power plant, that 2.0 Lancer CY GT packs a serious punch.
Would be interesting to know how the 2014 2.0 Koup fears against the 2.0 CY GT.

I wouldn't call that a new lancer anymore nah. New model long overdue. The lancer is still more fun to drive imo.

KIA, give us an update on the Koup?
Saw a red on the road yesterday.
What extras they pack over the sedan?

Most notably is the 2.0l engine, rims and the frame-less door. The space is the same in both! The showroom for the Forte is $172,818 (final price $208,000) and the Koup is $177,293 (final price $240,000)

it appears this new koup has the most powerful natural aspiration 2.0L engine ever to enter our shores brand new. Judging from the specs it shouldn't have any problem keeping up or passing a stock Lancer GT. In fact, I sure would like to see how this Koup fears against a stock roro Altezza or even the new Swift Sport..

How so? What new technology have they put within it to make it powerful as you say?

Great Post OP, Got my vehicle this week and I'm also pleased thus far. Your tips were very useful as I have not gotten around to reading the entire manual as yet. Looking forward to more useful posts. Any other seasoned owners willing to comment?

Yea in here kinda quiet..
Seeing alot of the basic models on the road now.
While they have fewer aesthetics, I already see they can take the faux double muffler and diffuser kit easily as they dont have the muffler tip. Anxious to see this mod on the road.

Oh I bought the OEM Forte fabric mats from eBay because the set I got with the car was starting to deteriorate. While I know it wouldve been wrongsided (LHD to RHD) to took the chance because they looked like they offer more coverage and I wanted fabric. And I was right, the rear mats fit perfect, the front passenger is ok as well, the driver's doesnt fit exact but its workable. The quality is of the fabric is waay better, its not thin and pretty comfortable to the touch.

Wayzzz, well I purchased the GL (basic) model but I have ordered the Road Runs Grill and was thinking about the Lip Spoiler. I also got a set of cheap looking KIA mats from SS but I have placed some larger Rubber Mats over them (I smell d rat). I was looking for the RHD "forte" fabric mats on Amazon but no luck so I think I will do like u and just order the LHD variant. Not sure about the AM rear diffuser because I saw one on the display model at SS and it's not my cup of tea (at least the one they installed). Looking for a nice set of Racing Wheels that won't affect my ride comfort too much........Sure about 17's, Not too sure about 18's

Eyed that grill, then I saw it on a white at Trincity mall and didnt like how it looked in real.
Maybe it couldve been the styling of the ride, coz it looked like the guy went all out and bought every dress up part he found.

You can see how my mats fit before you purchase, its no problem. Yea I too am waiting to see how the diffuser looks in real before I decide. Which showroom has it? POS?

Ride comfort changes hardly noticeable with the bigger rims. Just dont go overdoing it.

Lol I won't overdo it.....thinking hard to even go 18' but it looks mean.

I saw the diffuser on display in POS but since I started my transaction with SS they have changed display vehicles twice so not sure how long it's gonna be there for.

I work and live in the east you could send a pic of the mat fit if you live too far. The forte mats online really look high quality when I saw the SS come out with those small cheap mats I just smh.

One more question: what's the life expectancy of the DRLs?

Im from the east too man..send me a pm and we could link.
If you referring to the headlight DRLs then its all part of the headlamp, so id suspect its lifetime.
Inside the headlamp is a circuit board which regulates power for the headlamps and DRLs and even interacts with the fog lights.

So yesterday I took my 3week old Cerato for the longest run since purchase, Arima to Penal. Upon my arrival I noticed there was condensation in both headlights. This was a cause for concern, actually it's all I thought returning to Arima.

By the time I got home the headlights where clear again. I have my first scheduled 1000km service next Saturday.

1. is this condensation normal? (I doubt it)

2. Should I pack my hooligan face when I visit SS? (Kidding).....maybe

Feroze. He doesn't have the pack of silica crystals in the headlight like I do in my Cerato Exec.
Unless it's because he has Hids and I don't, I think it may be oversight on Kia or SSSL.

Question for Kia Motors:

Which motor option do you all import?

Cerato sedan 1.6 - is it the MPI or GDI version?
Cerato Koup 2.0 - is it the MPI or GDI version?
Sportage 2.0 - is it the same motor found in the Koup?
Sorento 2.4 - do you all still bring this or the 2.2 diesel only?
