Call SS and ask for Luke Shepard, he'll give you everything you need.

I have his business card but it on my desk in work, will edit post in the morning with his mobile/ext.

Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of insurance for a 2010 Cerato sedan. I'm thinking of buying a car and I'm trying to decide between the Cerato and Mazda 3.
And also if you can give me an idea of the insurance with a new driver on the policy too, it would be appreciated.

Jëmëtrîüs,

It'll be better if you called a few insurance companies and gave them the information and have them calculate it for you, this way you'll get better and more specific information.

Insurance costs will be different for everone due to age, no claim discount, persons on policy etc.

I got an insurance quote for a Cerato this week from Guardian General of $21,350. Southern Sales quoted the car at $171,000.00. You can get a 15% discount on the insurance if you get CarSearch Alert & Retrieval System.

 Holy sheit that's a lot.

I purchased the basic Cerato at $149,000 when it first released a little over two years ago.

$22,000 extra for 17" rims, auto AC, reverse sensors and chrome hardly seemed worth it for me :|

My initial quote from Colfire was $26,000 (due to age) but i ended up getting it from Presidential for $16,000.

I actually don't use anything liquid, just a swiffer duster, picks up all the dust and leaves it clean.

Model tested:
2011 Kia Cerato SLi 5-door Hatchback 2.0-litre four-cylinder six-speed manual

What stood out to me was...

Audi design guru Peter Schreyer may well have waved his magic wand over this car.

Hey guys, have anyone ever used super gas in their cerato?
The guys at kia recommend premium, both fuels are unleaded.

I saw in the manual where the car require an octane rating of RON 91. Super in trinidad is higher than RON 91.

Anyone has any personnel experience with this?

I have a a 2011 1.6 kia koup...

Yes, i used super for the first few months and it was fine for the 1st month. then the whole car seemed to slow down. Kia cleaned the injectors and said premium only. cleaning the injectors helped.

but still think the car is a little slow....

thinkin, after warranty, to just use super and have the injectors cleaned regularly....

premium is killing me... spent $200 to fill from E.

try owning a legacy..$260 to full..and you doing that a couple times well

but the ting about the injectors seems flaky...all the gas here is unleaded and has alot of rigorous quality standards..the only ting that could contribute to the injectors being fouled is those OTC injector cleaners, tankage/storage conditions of the gas in most of the stations and well the fact that you running down the tank so low to the 'dregs'

the kia koup is really nice but incredibly slow...soo even with the injectors being serviced you wouldnt get much performance any ways...cars always drive like a gt-r for the first month lol after the novelty wears off u'd realise how slow it really is

that being said..it's the best value for money as far as new cars go

Which is better between the kia koup and mazda 3 in terms of speed/performance? Want a fun car with tiptronic, which should i get? Was trying to get ah speed3, but that mite not look like it go work out, have to settle for local sheit.

Considering getting a VW GTI, pricey though. So i thinking on it hard.

^^ Honestly buy a subaru lol..jus kidding

the 2012 koup is a fun car to look at..definitely economical and best value for money..leather..tiptronic w/paddle shifters..decent sound system ..nice rims ..sun roof and body stylin very modern.

the mazda 3 however handles well...the kia is scary over 120km/hr....so in terms of speed and performance i'd say the mazda has the edge..but damn its ugly...

i wud still choose the kia tho..the 2012 models have the push to start which is a nice gimmick and honestly at about 190K u cyah go wrong..the mazda is in excess of 200K...honestly at that price i'd put the extra and get a jetta or sumting.

Guys, anyone know the cost of the OEM disc pads for the 2010 cerato?

Someone is offering me an original set for $700. I was thinking about purchasing and keeping until I need it.

is this a good buy?

Took the cerato for her 30,000kms service on wednesday.

I supplied engine oil/filter.
Service cost me 575$$
The service centre called and told me the rear right side shock needed changing. Thankfully however before I could have started to sweat the rep mentioned that the part is still under warranty and it would not be an additional cost. I smiled.

I really had no idea the shock was bad.
I must admit that again I was impressed with kia after sales service.

other than that, nothing else was changed.

ps: I even got a free body wash.

Okay so my vehicle is now officially out of warranty, and i've started getting a knocking in my right front joint when ever i lock over rough pitch over 15 km/h (convenient to start AFTER my warranty is up i know).

Took the vehicle in for my 50,000KM service, the tech said it's a part of the steering rack
I have to call back in two weeks to get a price on the part (they're ordering it).

Other than that car is working well, i'm really worried tho, i know steering racks are in the double digits :(

They said it was a rubber at the joints and not the rack, so they were checking the parts department to see if they have the part in stock. However i sold the vehicle Friday gone so i'll no longer be following up on that lol.
