Ok, so after a terrific two-week period with D&W #4 staged on 26th July at ARC,
And D&W #5 being part of the highly successful Motor Maniacs Wings and Wheels Event on 1st and 2nd August in Tobago - with the Tobago competitors winning 3 of the eight classes, shared the Best-Reactionn-Time of 0.001 secs., and of the 24 podium spots, they earned 12!
Great going for many who were first-time competitors.
We now move right in to D&W #6 on 16th August as we return to the home of birth and delivery of a whole host of new and young drivers - the ARC Car Park.
Briefing meeting for D&W #6 will be held on Wed. 12th August at the Chaguanas Indoor Regional Sport Complex at 7:00pm.
To ensure that competitors get the most runs possible on the day, we shall be starting at 10:00am.
1. Scrutineering to stop at 10:00 am, (except for Tobago competitors) with consideration being given to charging a late scrutineering fee of $50.00 if competitors arrive after 10:00am.
2. Late entries on Sunday to pay $250.00 at the gate.
3. No Late entry to be accepted after 9:30am on Sunday morning.
We also remind all that Classes ran at D&W #4 will be the fixed Class from now for the rest of the year. However if a competitor wishes to change class for whatever reason, this can be done, but you will not be able to move to the new Class with the points already earned.
Points earned in Tobago where the Classes were different to what we run at ARC will be credited to the Class run at D&W#4.
We have also been looking at having attractive permanent numbers for the doors done. These can be magnetic, the pair costing not more than $100.00, once we order a certain quantity. Great keepsake as one moves forward in Motor Sport, especially if aiming to go longer than Clive Sugden!
We did indicate our involvement in the Box Kart event originally carded for Saturday 22nd August. On this date, time to be determined, there will be a Media Launch at the Jean Pierre Complex where prospective competitors can see a few models of what is planned. The new Event date will be either the last weekend in Sept. of first weekend in Oct.
