Crix u more than welcome to join, and u will make it man don't worry, every one takes a lil pull now and then!

This trail enters in tabaquite and will exit in piparo, but knowing SideB guys, u won't be left behind, it's a good run, with weather it can become a bit challenging, but no worries, we have one another's back!

U could probably check dumore or bhagwansinghs for the shackles, no matter the rope smaller, at least u made and attempt to get some, so good going.

OK folks, just a little update....

We are still 100% on for this Sunday 31st so I hope the prep is going according to plan for everyone.

Meeting point: Preysal High School just off the couva flyover (turn left as you come off the exit from the highway and you'll see us a short distance away).
Meeting time : 8:00am
Departure time : 9:00am

We will have a short safety briefing an introduction for the newcomers on the run before we depart.

Side B is all about safety first, and we don't leave anyone behind. If you need to leave before the run is complete, simply inform one of the Side B execs (myself, Droppa or steve) or any of the side B guys in their t shirts to pass along the message. We do use the "buddy system" where we always try to keep the guy in your rear view mirror in visual contact at all times; if you notice the truck behind u has lagged behind then u can either wait for him to catch up, or stop and take a walk back down the track to see what's up.

droppa already outlined the essential stuff for the run but just to reiterate...

- good working vehicle, properly checked and in roadworthy condition (including brakes, engine integrity, transmission and 4wd working, battery has to be properly clamped down/secured)
- recovery straps / chains / rope & shackles
- first aid kit or necessary medicines for whoever needs their meds (asthmatics, diabetics etc - there's no shame in needing to use your meds, plus we'll have a doctor on the run just in case of emergency)
- we always recommend to bring along sunscreen and insect repellant, for comfort.
- food and drinks for the day (we'll most likely stop for lunch)
- camera and cellphone with charged batteries and/or car charger
- air compressor if you have one, in case you need to deflate your tires for better offroad traction (and of course a tire pressure gauge)
- cutlass and hatchet in case we need to cut fallen trees, shovel / pick axe incase we need to dig anyone out
- large bottle of fresh water to wash hands/feet (I usually carry about 12 liters with me on a run).

The trail itself starts in Tabaquite and will explore the surrounding areas. It's a grade 2 type terrain, meaning soft ground with some muddy spots and one or two large ruts to cross. If it rains heavily it may turn into a couple grade 3 spots, but we have plenty of recovery vehicles with Winches so we should be OK. Vehicles with all terrain tires should be well suited to this terrain, and we'll show u guys a couple techniques to make it through.

A couple of Side B rules apply to this run, as with all official side B runs:

- NO DANGEROUS BEHAVIOUS OR WILD HORSEPLAY
- NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED DURING THE RUN, for both drivers and navigators / passengers. U can drink all you want afterwards wherever u end up liming but please have respect for your safety and the safety of others during the run. Out there in the field we are each others keepers and our safety depends on each other.

So that's it, hoping to see all of u guys on Sunday, bright and early. Let's hope for some good weather (I. E. Rain the night before and good sun on the day of the run).

Guys, any chance you all have a google map of where we'd be trailing through?

I'm checking it now and I assume that it's somewhere in the patch of greenery between tabaquite and piparo.

(Sorry, newbie here..)

you know i always thought making a track overlay on google maps (satellite view) would always be a good idea for all the trails.

I guess using this on runs can be useful
