Well!!!!
Another successful run done by Side B!!!
The day started of late as we met at the entrance to the Brian Lara Stadium from Reform side. We had to wait for two stragglers, myself lol and claries. A total of 8 rigs were flecking work in anticipation of some bess offroading. 3stagevtec had to pull out very early as a steering end came loose and he had to change it out, align and vowed tor return later. The man said he flecking work he want to go mudding oui!
So we left the meeting point at 9:30am and proceeded to our destination. It was Marack!
Side be had attempted the trail before but did not make it through cause of a caved off camber section that we thought was too dangerous to attempt.
We were praying to the rain gods to open up on us but it wasn't to be. Place was hot and dry!!! Marack trail was Grade 1 with most of the trail not ever needing the 4x4 feature of our rigs. We finally came to a part of the trail that we hadn't seen before, thinking that maybe they cut around the caved section. However we pressed on to see the caved down section. That part of the trail was very overgrown. And we remembered the epic landslips they had before the caved down section.
We finally came to the caved down section and it was overgrown. We cleared it a bit to see if it was the same way we left it. And so it was. Didn't change a bit. Since the number of vehicles were small and only 3 men on AT and HT tyres and the return of 3stagevtec I decided to attempt going through the caved down section. Success!!!! It was all about approach angle and the driver!! We attempted one by one and after some gut wrenching moments we all made it through. Triumph!!!
We proceeded to Marack beach and it was just reward for the triumphant crossing. It looked really nice. We decided to lime a bit and have something to eat.
3stagevtec wanted more mud and so did most of the other guys with us. So we decided that we would not hit the water but instead return through the trail to head to the next closest favorite trail!!! Morne Diablo!!!
After getting everyone out safely out off Marack and crossing the caved down section again (which was more challenging the other way around) we were off to Morne Diablo.
Morne Diablo had undergone some changes with the trail being kinda paved almost to the Volcano!! Talk bout disappointment!!!! Some proceeded to head to the Volcano to check it out while others were thinking to attepmt the other section of Morne Diablo. We also met Brian, the black Grand Vitara at Morne Diablo.
After some departures of Runul and 200sx (one had class and the other we did not want to chance cause of his HT) we proceeded to through the other section off Morne Diablo. It was very easy compared to the other times we went through. It only had a few mud puddles and then some pits, which I got stuck in. Epic that was.
We made it out at 5:30pm which was also suprising since darkness met us there before!!!!
All in all it was a great day of Flecking Work to go Offroading!!!
